BLAZE UP NAGASAKI, the outdoor festival hosted by SHANK, a three-piece melodic punk band from Nagasaki Prefecture, will once again be held this year at their local venue, Kamino-shima Park in Nagasaki. This is an outdoor festival hosted by WANIMA, the popular three-piece rock band known for doing commercials and theme songs. Holding a festival they run themselves in their hometown of Kumamoto is a long-awaited event for both the band and their fans! I can’t wait to see which of their close-connected bands will be on the lineup. It’s a must-see event for fans who want to fully enjoy both music and Kumamoto. WALK INN FES! is a hometown festival of music and people in Kagoshima that has been held since 2014 under the motto, “We create our town ourselves.” Multiple local shops set up booths and local artists perform, with a focus on running the event through local power. Going forward, they aim to firmly establish the event and solidify a style that includes inviting guest artists from outside the prefecture.

This event, organized by HY from Okinawa, began in 2011 with the theme of creating a place where children can find their dreams and a place that connects families. The activities prepared for children have grown richer every year, and around the main stage for live performances, there are a variety of attractions such as magic shows, athletics, and workshops that families can enjoy together. In the food area, popular Okinawan eateries gather in kitchen cars, letting you savor local flavors—which is a real treat. Camping is also available, making it a highly recommended event for families.
