List of Rock Festivals Nationwide [2026]

This festival carries the meaning of connecting people through music. Since it’s an event created with the intention of energizing Osaka as it shares music from the city, it has drawn large crowds and, just as hoped, is generating great excitement.

The Horseback Warrior Rock Festival is held every year in Minamisoma City, Fukushima Prefecture. It began with the hope of creating a new festival so that people who left the city due to the earthquake disaster and the nuclear accident—those who evacuated—could return home at least once a year. I’ve heard there’s also a fireworks display on the day, making it feel just like a summer festival.

Since this event is called “O.Y.Z NO YAON” (= Oyaji no Yaon) and held at Osaka Castle’s open-air stage, the lineup consists only of adult male groups. Even though they’re ‘oyaji’ (middle-aged men), I’m sure each group will show off a mature coolness that won’t lose to the younger crowd.
