List of Rock Festivals Nationwide [2026]

Shibuya Metal-kai Fest 2026 is a live event hosted by Shibuya Metal-kai, an irregularly held metal DJ drinking party at live venues in Shibuya. The event takes place across three venues: Shibuya CYCLONE, WWW X, and GARRET. Inside the venues, there will be a flyer booth where people can exchange information about the domestic metal scene, serving as a networking hub freely available to bands and event organizers. Scheduled for May 2, 2026.

This is a student-led street live performance where high school light music clubs from across Shiga Prefecture gather at Otsu Station Front Park to showcase the results of their daily practice in the station-front space. Organized by the Keion Street LIVE Executive Committee and co-hosted by the Shiga Prefecture High School Cultural Federation Light Music Division, the event has continued in collaboration with Machizukuri Otsu. This time, as Vol. 18, a live performance of the Inter-High support song is also planned. Scheduled for May 2026, it offers a close-up chance to enjoy the regionally rooted high school band culture.

This event is organized by Evoken de Valhall Production as a festival specializing in Finnish metal. Revived as a comeback for the performance canceled in 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19, it brings together a wide range of genres including melodic death, black, folk, and hard rock. The venue is Shibuya Stream Hall. Over two days in May 2026, Nordic acts including headliner Kalmah will assemble.

At a music festival hosted by the outdoor tenugui brand CHAORAS, the theme is “Bringing tenugui culture to music festivals.” The venue is the Hattori Ryokuchi Open-Air Concert Hall in Toyonaka, Osaka—an outdoor space surrounded by greenery. Derailleur Brew Works, known for producing the Saka-no-Ue Music Festival, is sponsoring the event, with a diverse lineup including SPECIAL OTHERS, OYAT (Omoide-Yaro A Team), and Kuchiroro (□□□). Pets are welcome, and admission is free for junior high school students and younger, making it a day open to a wide audience. Scheduled for April 2026.

The Funagoya Rock Fest is a handmade, free live music event born in Chikugo, Fukuoka, planned from the desire to give amateur bands the chance to perform outdoors. The venue is the outdoor stage at the vast Chikugo Wide-Area Park, with a hot spring and the local products hall “Kawa no Eki Funagoya Koibotaru” nearby, as well as a barbecue area and children’s playground equipment—perfect for spending a relaxing day enjoying rock music like a picnic with family and friends. In April 2026, we will celebrate the 8th edition (vol. 8).
