DEAD POP FESTiVAL, which has been held since 2010 under the slogan “Break the Wall,” has firmly established itself as an outdoor event and joined the ranks of summer open-air festivals. The festival is hosted by the hugely popular reggae-punk band SiM. Because SiM is always taking on new challenges, the event has featured initiatives unlike anything seen before. A rock festival exclusively for female artists, planned by Keiko Terada of the rock band SHOW-YA. It’s a special event featuring many legendary artists who have had a major impact on the Japanese music scene. It’s a rare chance to see performers form special units with one another and witness lavish, once-in-a-lifetime collaborations. Experience the powerful, high-energy stage firsthand—packed with breathtaking vocals, searing guitar work, and performances so intense they’ll leave you in awe.

“Green Room” is a surfing term referring to the hollow, tube-like part of a wave that surfers ride through. This event, named after that term, is held under the concept of “protecting our vanishing beaches.” Through music and art, it aims to share surf and marine culture and express a desire to protect the beach. It also sounds great to relax and enjoy music at a seaside venue.

As a new festival organized by Ibaraki Broadcasting, the LuckyFM Green Festival has been held since 2022. Following the relocation of the ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL, the event has adopted the motto “Don’t let the flame of Ibaraki’s festival culture go out,” and has been reimagined with a new concept as a celebration of music, food, and art at its venue, Hitachi Seaside Park. Featuring local ingredients and a wide range of art and music genres, it’s also recommended as a family-friendly event. It’s sure to become one of your favorite summer memories!
