How to make a Disney kids’ lunch (bento)

A full-on adorable independent study on “How to Make a Disney Kids’ Lunch.” Think up and create your own Disney-style kids’ lunch that looks cute and exciting—like Mickey-shaped chicken rice, an omelet, fried shrimp, a hamburger patty, potato salad, and more! It’s an edible work of art, perfect for people who love cooking and design.
You can make everything with paper clay, so it’s super easy.
Even if you can’t easily go to Tokyo Disneyland, making this craft will let you feel like you’ve enjoyed a kids’ lunch there.
Honey Toast accessory case

Almost real? Let’s make a sweet and cute “Honey Toast Trinket Box”! It’s a big hit with upper-grade girls: it looks like a dessert, but inside it’s a practical storage box.
The design mimics crispy honey toast topped with plenty of honey, ice cream, and fruit.
It’s a craft project with a soft, sweet vibe.
Using paper clay, sponge, and paints, you can create realistic “browned edges” and a “melty” look.
Coming up with the decorations will be fun to do with friends, too.
Try finishing it off cutely with silicone whipped cream and berries.
Make and Play! Cake Shop

Simple to make yet impressive enough to make you say “Wow!” This craft lets you create a realistic-looking blackberry cake and have fun while doing it.
You can easily get the materials at 100-yen shops, and it’s simple to do at home.
Using soft, squishy paper clay, you can make adorable sweets that are fun to touch and pleasing to the eye! Practice your decorating skills with piping cream and coloring, and boost your sense of design.
With a little creativity, you can open your very own one-of-a-kind “cake shop.” After you’re done, play cake shop with friends or display your creation as a perfect room decor piece.
ball

Here’s an idea for making a ball out of paper.
First, prepare six strips of paper, each 1 cm by 20 cm.
Connect one of the strips into a loop.
Next, layer the remaining five strips one by one to form a star shape.
If you overlap them so that the center forms a pentagon, you’ll get a neat star.
Once layered, temporarily clip the ends of the strips upright, then pass the loop you made earlier through them.
At this point, only thread the strips that were on the bottom during the layering.
Swap the top and bottom positions of the overlapped strips, connect strips of the same color, and you’re done!
stained glass wind chime
It looks even more beautiful in the sunlight! Let me share an idea for a stained-glass-style wind chime.
On hot summer days, just having a wind chime with a cool, refreshing look can make you feel pleasantly refreshed.
This time, let’s make a stained-glass wind chime using transparent origami.
You’ll need transparent origami paper, a plastic cup, an empty capsule, double-sided tape, an awl, string, and so on.
The step where you cut the transparent origami into your favorite shapes and stick them on to create a design seems like something you could enjoy doing with kids.
10 Musical Instruments Made from Plastic Bottles

Musical instruments can produce all kinds of sounds and are fascinating, but many people may feel hesitant to buy a lot when they’re not sure how much they’ll actually use them.
Here, we’ll introduce many instruments you can make using plastic bottles.
For example, castanets made by attaching plastic bottle caps to cardboard, a whistle made by punching a hole in a cap and inserting a straw, and even instruments with different pitches just by letting the air out of a plastic bottle.
There are also plastic bottle drums and a “petphone,” made by connecting plastic bottles cut to various lengths.
Use these as references and give it a try!
Infinite Marble Run

Here’s a perfect boredom-buster for kids: a marble run that rolls endlessly.
You’ll need two stiff, deep paper plates and two paper cups.
First, cut a hole in the center of each plate to make a donut shape.
Next, make a single slit on each plate, then interlock the two plates so they form a figure eight.
When assembling, a hot glue gun is recommended over glue or paste.
Finally, insert the paper cups into the holes you cut in the plates, and you’re done! The marble will whirl around the figure-eight track so kids can enjoy it for ages.
To make it more challenging, try playing with the paper cups removed.
