koinobori (carp streamers)

Large koinobori (carp streamers) are a popular spring motif among children.
Since you can make big ones for the classroom wall, let those dynamic carp swim across the wall.
Because the shapes are simple and large, it’s best to use bold pieces of colored construction paper or origami paper.
There are ready-made templates online for cutting and pasting, so if you think creating one from scratch might be difficult, try looking for existing templates.
Also, if the children draw patterns on the scales with crayons, you can create a one-of-a-kind, original koinobori.
strawberry
When it comes to spring fruits kids love, strawberries are a favorite.
Cut red paper into strawberry shapes, then dot the seeds in black.
Drawing the seeds is a task you can enjoy together with the children.
Make small cuts at the top of the strawberry, glue them down, and give it a three-dimensional look.
Be sure to set up a nice spacious area and decorate with plenty of strawberries.
Since the calyx and leaves have complex shapes and take time to cut, stack several sheets of paper, staple them together, and cut them all at once to work more efficiently.

Here’s a cute idea for making a flower out of heart-shaped balloons.
Inflate five heart balloons, gather them at the necks, and arrange them into a flower shape.
Add a round balloon in the center as the pistil to create a three-dimensional flower.
Make the pistil by connecting two round balloons together, and attach them so the flower looks complete from both the front and back.
When connecting, gather and tie the necks or pull and wrap them around tightly so you can assemble it without glue.
Use balloons in various colors to create a bright, festive decoration.

When you want a spring-like wall decoration, butterflies are probably what come to mind.
Elegant butterflies are perfect as accents on a floral wall.
This time, we’re introducing fluffy butterflies made with tissue paper.
Layer several sheets of tissue paper, accordion-fold them, then wrap and secure the center with a twist tie.
Shape the twist tie to resemble antennae by pointing both ends upward and curling the tips.
Gently separate the tissue paper one sheet at a time to form the wings, and your butterfly is complete!

Why not try making soft-looking cherry blossoms using tissue paper? First, cut the tissue paper into squares, then accordion-fold it and fold it in half.
Cut the edge opposite the fold into a petal shape, staple the center, and open it into a cherry blossom.
Next, take a smaller piece of tissue paper, accordion-fold it the same way, staple it, and snip both ends to create the flower center.
Layer the center onto the blossom and glue it in place, and you’re done.
Make lots of them to create a cherry tree or a flurry of falling petals.
Tulip wall decoration

Make use of paper plates! Here’s an idea for a wall decoration made by attaching tulips.
It’s perfect for those who want to create small decorations due to the size of the classroom or limited display space.
You can also hang them not only on walls but on doors, lockers, or shoe racks.
You’ll need: decorative paper plates, origami paper, ribbon, glue or tape, tissue paper, twist ties, and scissors.
Displaying colorful tulip creations in the room will brighten up the space!
three-dimensional butterfly

The softly rounded shape is adorable! Here’s an idea for three-dimensional butterflies.
Decorating with 3D creations will make your room feel bright and festive! The gentle, fluffy butterfly form gives off a warm, soothing vibe, so it’s highly recommended.
You’ll need tissue paper, tape, pipe cleaners, scissors, round stickers, and clear bags.
The steps are simple, making it perfect for even infant classes to try—another great plus.
Give it a try!
