[Lottery Commercials] Popular and All-Time Commercials Summary [2026] (51–60)
Samurai: A Dream ReunionKoji Yakusho, Yua Shinkawa

This is the lottery commercial “Samurai: Year-End Party.” Koji Yakusho plays a samurai who time-slips into the present day.
Fired up to win 500 million yen, he heads to a lottery booth, where he bumps into Ochiyo—his daughter who has also time-slipped—played by Yua Shinkawa.
Ignoring her father, who is delighted to see her again, Ochiyo walks right past him and plays with the lottery’s mascot, Characoo-chan.
It’s a laid-back, easygoing commercial with a relaxed vibe.
“Samurai • Date” Version A & Version BKoji Yakusho, Every Little Thing, Haruka Shimazaki

This is the 2018 lottery commercial “Samurai: Date.” Koji Yakusho plays a samurai who time-slips into the present day and, for some reason, goes on a date at an amusement park with Kaori Mochida from Every Little Thing.
After the amusement park date, they have dinner at a restaurant.
ELT’s Ichiro Ito makes a stealthy cameo as the waiter.
Haruka Shimazaki, who secretly follows them, is adorable.
“Samurai: Year-End Party Mini A” version (now on sale)Koji Yakusho, Haruka Shimazaki, Miwako Kakei, Nora Hirano

This is the 2018 lottery commercial, “Samurai: Year-End Party.” Koji Yakusho plays a samurai who time-travels to the present day.
He joins a hot-pot year-end party with Haruka Shimazaki, Miwako Kakei, and Nora Hirano.
It’s a period-drama gag when Koji Yakusho is surprised by Miwako Kakei taking charge as the ‘nabe bugyō’ (hot-pot magistrate).
Inspired by someone fanning themselves with lottery tickets spread out like a folding fan, Nora Hirano breaks into a bubbly Juliana dance, evoking the 1980s.
Samurai Bon OdoriKoji Yakusho, Yua Shinkawa, TRF

This is the Summer Jumbo Lottery commercial “Samurai: Bon Odori,” featuring Koji Yakusho, who made waves as a time-traveling samurai.
The samurai goes out to a Bon dance with his daughter, played by Yua Shinkawa, but on top of the Bon dance tower there are dazzling lights—and TRF.
The daughter is stunned, asking, “This is Bon Odori?” Meanwhile, the samurai somehow ends up on the tower, grooving away and dancing at the DJ booth.
Yakusho getting into the groove is hilarious, but DJ KOO’s outfit totally steals the show in this ad (lol).

Tenkaichi Luck Trial: Frieza – Now On Sale (Version)

In the commercial for “Tenkaichi Luck Challenge” released in July 2018, a collaboration with the hugely popular anime and manga Dragon Ball was realized.
The ad featured the fan-favorite character Frieza and became a hot topic.
The entire screen is in Frieza’s signature purple, which is very eye-catching.
It’s a commercial that even people who aren’t interested in lotteries can’t help but watch.
“Tenkaichi Luck Test” Goku – Now on Sale Version

This is the “Dragon Ball Lottery: Tenkaichi Luck Trial – Goku, On Sale” commercial that has been airing since May 2018.
Dragon Ball has appeared on scratch-off tickets sold by the lottery.
It’s likely because the generation that watched Dragon Ball has grown up.
Hearing Son Goku’s famous line, “You’re strong.
I’m getting excited,” brings back a sense of nostalgia, doesn’t it?
Childcare Support

This is a TV commercial released in May 2018.
The spot focuses on Ku-chan, the official mascot of the lottery.
Set in a kindergarten, Ku-chan shows up and the kids get super excited.
The ad highlights that a portion of lottery proceeds is used to support child-rearing.
Also noteworthy is the ending, where actor Jun Kaname emerges from inside the Ku-chan costume!
