Sofa-shaped accessory case

[No-Sew Remake] Turn an empty tissue box into a cute sofa-shaped accessory case ♪ Perfect for your fave plushie! How to make a sofa out of a tissue box
Sofa-shaped accessory case

Let’s use tissue boxes to make a lovely sofa-shaped organizer you can place in your room.

Prepare two tissue boxes.

Cut and fold one box to create the base of the sofa.

Use the other box to make the sofa’s backrest and armrests.

Attach your favorite fabric to the sides of the tissue boxes.

For the parts where you add stuffing, cover them by making the fabric like a pouch.

Since you’ll use double-sided fabric tape, there’s no sewing required.

Once it’s finished, try placing a plush toy on it or decorating it with accessories.

Cute beaded candy craft

Let’s make cute candies using your favorite beads! Cut the soft case into your preferred shape, fold it in half, then use a hair iron to apply heat and seal the edges to make a little pouch.

Fill it with beads and seal the opening.

Stick masking tape on both ends of the candy, trim it with a zigzag cut, and you’re done.

Try using different beads to create various kinds of candies.

If you make the bag for holding the candies the same way, it’ll look extra cute and really stand out.

Pudding charm

Everyone loves it! Let’s make a pudding charm inspired by that beloved treat.

For the base, use a clear cup for sweets deco from a 100-yen shop.

Mix brown paint into glue to mimic caramel and spread it on the bottom of the case, then pack in yellow yarn.

Draw the package design on thick paper, cut it into a circle, and attach it to the case.

Punch a hole and thread through charm hardware to finish.

You can also substitute brown yarn for the caramel section.

We’d like to introduce a bookmark made with Indian embroidered ribbon that feels both vibrant and charmingly simple.

Cut the Indian embroidered ribbon to your preferred bookmark length, then thread soft wire along both sides of the ribbon.

Next, sew around the edges of the ribbon with thread.

Using a pale-colored thread will change the overall impression of the bookmark.

Hand-stitching adds a warm, handmade feel.

Add beads as accents, attach a flat ribbon or similar embellishment, and you’re done.

Give it a try!

Ribbon bookmark

Here’s an introduction to a bookmark with a visible ribbon that peeks out from your book.

It’s a ribbon bookmark recommended for those who love cute things.

Cut a piece of construction paper into a long, narrow strip and fold it in half.

Leaving the folded end as the tip where the ribbon will be attached, glue the strip together.

Trim the corners at the ribbon end, attach the ribbon, and you’re done.

When making the ribbon, the key is to cut it a bit long.

Wrap the ribbon around your fingers to form it.

Many bookmarks only peek out slightly as a marker, but having the ribbon visible makes it even cuter.

Tabletop clay accessories

Small clay mascots that can sit on a tabletop test your attention to detail precisely because you’re aiming for a compact, easy-to-display size.

While you’re free to create whatever you like, it’s fun to build a unique world with things that don’t exist in reality—like a pig popping out of a flowerpot or a sheep blooming like a flower.

Paying close attention to details such as the pig’s and sheep’s coats to craft them finely adds realism, which in turn makes the finished piece’s strangeness stand out even more.

Using clays in a variety of colors for a colorful finish is a key point that enhances the joy of both the making process and the display.

There are all kinds of resin craft pieces, aren’t there? Earrings, keychains, and hair ties, perhaps? Hair clips made with your favorite resin mold are lovely too.

Adding components like beads, dried flowers, or gold foil makes the finish even more beautiful.

Coloring them to match the season is also a great idea.

These days, many resin craft supplies are sold even at 100-yen shops in the craft section.

If you’re thinking, “I want to try making something with resin, but since it’s my first time I don’t want to spend much,” you can start casually without a big budget.

Flower Keychain

@salt_kosodate

The trick to not failing is… heat control!! 1) The cleanest finish is with a hot water bath (but it takes time to melt!). 2) If you have an oven, check after about 2 minutes at 200°C and reheat if needed! ↑ I don’t have one, so I couldn’t test this 🙏 3) If you have a toaster oven, start checking after 1 minute on the lowest setting. Doing 2 sets of 1 minute at 170°C will almost completely melt it! If you heat it all at once, bubbles will form, so I recommend low and slow! It’s definitely better to make one test piece rather than jumping straight into the real thing 🙌🏻 Also, even if you pack it full, the glue volume will shrink a lot once it melts, so add clear glue partway through and aim to fill it so it’s just shy of overflowing the mold—then it turns out nicely 😊 Materials: • Glue sticks — having clear as well as colored is GOOD • Mold • Glitter • Screw eye pins (heaton) • Ball chain • Backing card When an adult’s help is needed: • Glue sticks are hard, so have an adult do the cutting • Right after heating it’s very hot, so adults should be careful too! • Attaching the screw eye pins is a bit tough, so it’s good for an adult to handle 😊 Other than that, let the child take the lead and just watch over the parts they can do—it’ll be fine! Hope you make a wonderful gift 🌟 Cost breakdown (about 300 yen): • Clear glue sticks: ~50 yen (half a pack) • Colored glue sticks: ~40 yen (less than half a pack) • Screw eye pins: ~10 yen • Chains: 200 yen (2 packs) ← This is the pricey part 😂#AtHomePlayEducationalwork#Graduation from kindergarten HandmadePresent

Let’s try making keychains using colorful glue sticks.

Glue sticks are used with a glue gun, a tool that bonds with heat, and they come in a variety of colors.

Cut the glue sticks into short pieces and place them into a mold.

If you add glitter to the mold as well, you’ll get a sparkly keychain.

After heating in a toaster oven or regular oven, remove them from the mold once they’ve hardened.

Trim any excess that sticks out with scissors, attach the keychain hardware, and you’re done.

Depending on the mold, you can make many at once, so they could make great gifts for friends.

[Leather Craft] Smartphone Shoulder Bag

[Leather Craft] Smartphone Shoulder Bag

Let’s try making a smartphone shoulder bag using cowhide leather you can even find at 100-yen shops.

When you hear “leathercraft,” many of you might think it sounds difficult, right? But there are projects you can make without sewing, using pre-cut cowhide.

The smartphone shoulder bag—highlighted after making the top 10 in the Buzzword Awards—can be created easily, too.

Leathercraft can give your usual handmade projects a chic, stylish finish.

You can also get materials other than cowhide at 100-yen shops, so go ahead and make a smartphone shoulder bag in your own style.

cloth slippers

A fun-to-knit, soft and comfortable fabric slipper collection
cloth slippers

These are fabric slippers with a colorful, soft look, made by braiding long, rolled strips of cloth.

Tie four plastic cords together at one end, then use those four cords as guides to braid the long fabric strips.

Avoid leaving gaps in the fabric and make sure the guide cords don’t show—this will result in a sturdier finish.

Once the base is braided, use another piece of fabric to add the arch section and decorations to complete the slippers.

It’s a craft that requires careful fine-tuning, such as stiffening certain parts and keeping others gently flexible to fit the foot, all while maintaining good balance.
