Association card game

Perfect for lunch breaks! “Association Card Game”
Association card game

It’s a game that tests your imagination and creativity by thinking of things associated with keywords written on cards.

You prepare three types of cards that represent “color,” “characteristic,” and “thing,” and place one card from each category on the table.

Then you think of something that fits all the conditions shown on the cards and share your answer.

Even a prompt like “a white, soft creature” could lead to multiple answers such as “rabbit” or “sheep,” so it could also be fun to compete on how many ideas you can come up with.

Spot the Difference Game

Spot the Difference Game: Free Illustrated Video! Recommended Brain Training for Anti-Aging [Lab] #80
Spot the Difference Game

It’s a game where you look at side-by-side illustrations or photos and find the differences.

It helps train concentration to carefully observe the details of the prompt, as well as memory skills to compare and remember the mistakes you found.

It’s best to start with obvious, large differences and gradually move on to more subtle ones.

If you just can’t find a difference, it may help to use hints that indicate which area contains one.

Encourage players to focus and find the differences on their own to help stimulate brain activity.

Balloon Volleyball × Brain-Training Word-Guessing Quiz

[Lively Senior Activities] [Recommended for Day Service] Balloon Volleyball × Brain Training Word-Guessing Quiz
Balloon Volleyball × Brain-Training Word-Guessing Quiz

It’s an activity that adds a quiz element to balloon volleyball so you can move your body and brain at the same time.

Attach pieces of paper with letters written on them to the balloons, keep the balloons floating, and observe them to read the letters.

It’s a game that tests various abilities: moving your hands so you don’t let the balloon drop, dynamic visual acuity to read letters stuck on an unstable balloon, and the thinking skills to rearrange the letters you’ve read into a word.

Rather than everyone competing for the right answer individually, it also seems like it would be exciting to have everyone cooperate to complete the word together.

Balloon Relay

Senior recreation: It looks simple but it's tricky! A fun balloon relay #SeniorRecreation #Simple #Fun
Balloon Relay

Here’s a balloon relay that’s great for sports days and other events.

Place an inflated balloon on top of a baton and run a relay.

While holding the baton with the balloon on it, walk carefully and pass the baton to the next person without letting the balloon fall.

The balloon wobbles lightly on top of the baton, so although it looks easy, it’s actually a tricky game.

Dividing into several teams can make it even more fun.

Since participants call out to each other and cooperate, it can also spark communication.

Even if the balloon drops, don’t panic—just keep at it and enjoy!

Kanji Quiz

Kanji Quiz

Quiz shows are all the rage right now, and every TV network is airing programs packed with clever twists.

Brainy celebrities and university students from top schools take on tough, quirky questions, livening up living rooms across the country.

One segment that always gets the crowd excited is “How do you read this kanji?” From hard-to-read characters like 驢馬 (donkey) and 海豚 (dolphin) to everyday words like 就職 (employment) and 挨拶 (greeting), whether you can read them or not, everyone ends up smiling! Even though you can look up kanji on your smartphone, it still takes a person to decide whether osameru should be written as 収める, 納める, or 治める.

It just goes to show that learning matters at any age! Why not join a regular quiz night, too?

Brain-Training Rhythm Exercises

[Activate Your Brain] At-Home Brain-Training Rhythm Exercises
Brain-Training Rhythm Exercises

On days when the rain keeps falling, you might not be able to go out and end up lacking exercise.

At times like that, try refreshing your mind and body with “brain-training rhythm exercises.” The classic move is the open–close hand exercise where you switch the shapes of your right and left hands.

If you add finger positions that aren’t used in rock-paper-scissors, the difficulty jumps up.

Recommended options are the OK sign made with your index finger and thumb, and the thumbs-up sign.

If you want to use your whole body, try an exercise where you follow the shape of your right arm—it’s a fun way to move while engaging your brain.

You can also take inspiration from comedy acts like Fujisaki Market’s “La La La Lai Exercise” and COWCOW’s “Atarimae Taiso” to make your workout time more enjoyable!

Baseball card game

[Official] Understand in 9 minutes! Professional Baseball Card Game Dream Order How to Play Video
Baseball card game

This is a card game where, just like real baseball, players alternate between offense and defense to try to score points.

For defense, you prepare ball cards that show different pitch types, and for offense, you prepare bat cards that show pitch types.

At a signal, both players reveal their cards while trying to predict the opponent’s choice.

If the pitch type on the cards matches, the offensive player scores points, so the key is the mind game of anticipating your opponent’s card.

It’s a game that gives your brain a workout through prediction while also naturally sparking conversations about baseball.
