Proverb fill-in-the-blank quiz

Back in our school days, we used to memorize proverbs every time there was a test, didn’t we? Some older folks might be just starting to forget the proverbs they learned as children.

So let’s try a “proverb fill-in-the-blank quiz” to dig up those buried memories! From beginner-friendly sayings like “Three years on a stone” and “Don’t muddy the water where you fly from,” to slightly trickier ones like “The benefit of the … husband” and “Do not straighten your crown under the … eaves,” it would be fun for everyone to reminisce and enjoy together.

Lots of proverb quizzes have been uploaded to video sites, so feel free to use those as references.

Brain-training game you play while singing

This is what livens up recreation time! A fun brain-training game with singing ♪ #dayservice #musictherapy #musicrecreation #singing
Brain-training game you play while singing

A brain-training game you can enjoy while singing sounds wonderful.

Humming nostalgic songs while recalling the names of fruits—like mikan and apples—makes it easy to remember, and it’s great for singing together.

As you sing and recall the lyrics, it naturally helps boost memory.

The power of music is truly amazing.

Songs can spark conversations about old memories and let everyone have fun together, which is part of the charm.

Even those who aren’t confident in singing can join in just by clapping along to the rhythm.

It sounds like a lovely time that energizes both mind and body.

Whac-A-Mole

[100-yen shop] Super-exciting recreation with a paper-cup Whac-A-Mole
Whac-A-Mole

Here’s a fun and brain-training activity using paper cups: Whack-a-mole! Prepare about 10 to 20 paper cups and draw moles on them to make your moles.

Attach a pair of chopsticks to a paper cup to create a hammer for whacking the moles.

By involving older adults from the making stage, it also becomes a craft activity.

Whether as a craft or as a whack-a-mole game, it uses the hands.

Dexterous finger movements help stimulate the brain.

The whacking motion can help improve joint movement and is expected to boost concentration as well.

It would be exciting to turn it into a team competition for a recreation session.

In conclusion

I introduced some fun brain-training challenges.

Even though they’re called brain-training problems, you can enjoy them like quizzes while you play, so it’s sure to be a good time.

Try doing brain training with these lively, exciting puzzles and exercises, and have fun while you’re at it!
