Arashi Arts Festival | Saga University of ArtsOct 18 (Sat) – 19 (Sun), Kyoto Prefecture
Aran Geisai is the school festival of Saga Art University. “Aran” is pronounced “ran” and is taken from Arashiyama, a nearby tourist spot. The festival features student exhibitions and stage events. Come enjoy Kyoto in the autumn.

Geiko Festival | Kobe Design UniversityOct 18 (Sat) – 19 (Sun), Hyogo Prefecture
Geikosai is the campus festival of Kobe Design University, an arts university in Hyogo Prefecture. In addition to the usual food stalls, the festival features events like a singing contest and a cross-dressing competition called “Mr. Geiko Princess.” There are also exhibitions of works created by the students. It’s a lot of fun, with plenty of high-quality pieces that you’d expect from an arts university.

Kyokasai | Hanazono UniversityOct 18 (Sat) – 19 (Sun), Kyoto Prefecture
This is the Kyo-Ka Festival, Hanazono University’s campus festival. In addition to a comedy show by Yoshimoto comedians, Kyo-Ka Festival offers a variety of student-organized events. There are also events featuring university professors, allowing you to enjoy a different atmosphere from the usual campus life.

The Shingetsu Festival is one of the largest school festivals in the Kansai region, held every year at the Kobe Sanda Campus. Umibukuro Festival | Hyogo Medical University (Kobe Campus)Oct 18 (Sat) – 19 (Sun), Hyogo Prefecture
Kaikyosai is pronounced “kaikyosai,” and the character for “梟” means “owl.” The name is said to come from the frequent use of owl motifs in objects around the campus. In addition to stage shows by various groups, there are Yoshimoto comedy performances and Miss and Mister contests. Sometimes there’s also a Kamen Rider show, making it a festival packed with events that children can enjoy as well.
