Let's make and display! Origami perfect for Halloween (1–10)
bat

Bats with their eerie image are a classic Halloween motif, aren’t they? How about trying Halloween origami that transforms those dark-looking bats into something cute? It’s also great for folding while playing with your kids.
The charm is that you can make one easily with a single sheet of origami paper! You can use colorful papers like pastels, or of course go with dark shades like black or gray.
If you decorate your school with them for Halloween, they might draw some attention.
jack-o’-lantern

If you have orange origami paper, the one I’d love you to try is the jack-o’-lantern.
It’s that spooky pumpkin with a carved face—an essential character for Halloween.
Some steps involve fine folds, so it might be a bit tricky for small children, but it should be fine with a little help from mom or dad.
Once it’s folded, draw the face with a pen to finish it off.
You could even fold a hat out of black origami paper.
Definitely try making it as a Halloween decoration!
witch

Among Halloween motifs, one of the cutest and most popular characters for costumes is the witch, isn’t it? Here’s a Halloween origami project where you can make a witch out of a single sheet of paper.
Amazingly, the hat, face, and body are all made from just one sheet! It features a long-haired witch girl in a black dress—perfect as a little accent for your Halloween decorations.
Try using not only black origami paper but also Halloween colors like purple and orange to make it even more festive! There are a few fine folds, but it’s a fun craft to make together with your kids.
Let’s make and display them! Origami perfect for Halloween (11–20)
black cat

The mysterious-looking “black cat” is perfect for Halloween decorations and ornaments! Here’s a very easy Halloween origami project that even kids can make.
You’ll create the cat’s head and body separately and combine them at the end.
The video doesn’t show a face being drawn, but you might like to add the black cat’s distinctive eyes, nose, and mouth! If you use Halloween-colored origami paper—not just black, but also purple, orange, or white—it will make for a more festive decoration.
Making Halloween decorations together as a parent and child will create lasting memories, so definitely give it a try!
ghost

How about folding a realistic “ghost” perfect for Halloween decorations using just one sheet of origami paper? There are many ways to picture a ghost, but in this video we show how to make one that’s a little spooky while still being cute.
By shaping details like the ghost’s hands and tail realistically, the origami has a sense of movement.
Some steps are a bit complex, so young children should try making it with help from their parents! Draw the ghost’s face at the end and you’re done.
Create your own ghost with a unique personality.
How to fold blinking eyes

How about some blinking eyes that look a bit eerie in the dark? They’re perfect for Halloween toys, too! First, fold a piece of origami paper in half into a triangle to make a crease, then fold both ends inward toward this crease three times.
Next, fold it in half from the other direction to make another crease, and fold both ends toward the center along that crease.
Shape the whole piece into an eye by folding the straight edges diagonally.
Attach a handle, and the eye is complete! Finish it by adding a separately made drawing of an eye in the center and gluing on eyelashes around it.
Haunted house

How about making an origami haunted house to create a spooky Halloween atmosphere? If you make one haunted house and like it, make a second identical one and fold the two back-to-back to combine them.
That alone will easily make it look much more impressive.
Display it together with ghosts, witches, and skeletons to heighten the eerie vibe! Besides origami paper, you only need scissors and glue, so a haunted house is highly recommended even for those who aren’t confident with origami.
