Also known by the nickname Mr.
Daveman, he was one of Hokkaido’s original star talents.
Along with Takada’s lines, which give viewers a reassuring sense that they can leave everything about moving to the company, many people from Hokkaido will likely recognize the refreshing sound logo that plays at the end of the commercial.
Yakiniku Shoen

Yakiniku Shoen is a yakiniku chain that was centered around Susukino in Hokkaido.
Although all of its locations closed once in the 2000s, it made a comeback in Susukino in 2021 under the management of the Taisei Group.
Its commercial, featuring two clown-like figures in masks dancing and repeatedly announcing a 50% discount, became widely known for its striking visuals.
With the revival of the restaurants, the commercial has returned as well, drawing renewed attention.
Reflecting the times, the “50% off” phrase—which was one factor in the closures—has been changed to “50% back.”

Bear of the mountains

This is the commercial jingle for “Yama-Oyaji,” a Western-style rice cracker made with plenty of butter and milk and a specialty of Sapporo Senshuan Seika, a long-established confectioner with over 100 years of history.
“Yama-oyaji” originally refers to a brown bear, and the product features an embossed bear wearing skis.
