Johnny's WEST's masterpieces and popular songs
Here are some songs by Johnny’s WEST, an idol group under Johnny & Associates that has been active since 2014.
As their name suggests, Johnny’s WEST is made up of members from Kansai Johnny’s Jr.
They are the first group in ten years to carry on the Kansai spirit since Kanjani Eight, who have gone on to become a nationwide sensation.
Originally, the group was supposed to debut with the current seven members, but just a few hours before their unveiling at the Johnny’s Countdown Live at the end of 2013, they were suddenly told they would debut as four.
They went on to perform in that day’s show as planned, but believing that the other three members’ strength was essential to aim for a nationally popular group, they later negotiated with the agency, and their debut as the current seven-member lineup was realized.
The performances of Johnny’s WEST, formed with such strong determination, truly resonate with the heart.
Please give a listen even to the songs you don’t know yet.

Beyond that…Janīzu WEST

You can see a different side of Johnny’s WEST than usual.
I was really moved the first time I heard it.
Johnny’s WEST is usually playful, cute, and cheerful, but this song makes you feel just how much they truly cherish their fans.
Bang! Bang!!Janīzu WEST

This is a song from their Kansai Junior days.
Back in the old Shonen Club in Osaka, Kansai Juniors sang “Banban” as the ending every time.
Even after Johnny’s WEST debuted, it has often been performed as a Kansai Junior song.
It really makes you feel how close-knit Kansai is.
SUPERSTARJanīzu WEST

This is the opening theme for “Again,” starring Ryusei Fujii.
Since the word “again” appears in the lyrics, I think it’s a perfect song for this drama.
Watching the show will help you appreciate the song even more.
The lyrics are short, so they’re easy to memorize.
FICTIONWEST.

This song exudes a mysterious atmosphere.
Its wistful melody fused with a driving sound makes for a dramatic finish.
A highlight is that you can enjoy the unique vocal expressions of all seven members.
Released in 2023, it also drew attention as the theme song for the film “In a Sealed Mountain Lodge Covered in Snow,” starring Daiki Shigeoka.
The lyrics, which link to the film’s worldview, are captivating as well.
It’s the perfect track for those carrying complex emotions or seeking a song rich in storytelling.
Wake up!Janīzu WEST
It’s the perfect song to use as an alarm.
Since the lyrics include “good morning,” I set it as my alarm music.
When I was going through a tough time, listening to this song really cheered me up.
I think it’s a great fit for moments like that.
It gets even more exciting when Kansai Juniors and Johnny’s WEST sing it together.
SAKURA? A Song of Departure?Janīzu WEST

It’s a perfect song for spring farewells.
It’s such a good song that some schools even sang it at their graduation ceremonies.
I think the harmonies by Tomohiro Kamiyama and Takahiro Hamada are especially captivating.
The white costumes match the song well.
They don’t perform it very often at concerts, so it’s a song I really wish they would sing.
for now and foreverJanīzu WEST

It is included on their second single, “Zipangu Ookini Daisakusen/Yume wo Dakishimete,” released in October 2014.
It was used as the opening song for the stage production “Typhoon n Dreamer,” starring Johnny’s WEST.
With its upbeat, high-energy rhythm and positive lyrics, it’s a song that gives you courage just by listening to it.
