Johnny's WEST's masterpieces and popular songs

Here are some songs by Johnny’s WEST, an idol group under Johnny & Associates that has been active since 2014.

As their name suggests, Johnny’s WEST is made up of members from Kansai Johnny’s Jr.

They are the first group in ten years to carry on the Kansai spirit since Kanjani Eight, who have gone on to become a nationwide sensation.

Originally, the group was supposed to debut with the current seven members, but just a few hours before their unveiling at the Johnny’s Countdown Live at the end of 2013, they were suddenly told they would debut as four.

They went on to perform in that day’s show as planned, but believing that the other three members’ strength was essential to aim for a nationally popular group, they later negotiated with the agency, and their debut as the current seven-member lineup was realized.

The performances of Johnny’s WEST, formed with such strong determination, truly resonate with the heart.

Please give a listen even to the songs you don’t know yet.

This is a song included on their first album, “go WEST Yo–i Don!”, released in August 2014.

It’s a fun track that conveys a passion for flour-based dishes such as okonomiyaki and takoyaki.

The lively Kansai dialect really amps up the excitement.

Break Out!Janīzu WEST

Like “Criminal,” it’s a very cool and stylish song.

The moment when Daiki Shigeoka and Kotaki grab each other by the collar right at the start gives me chills.

At concerts, the two of them pop up onto the stage, which makes it an even cooler number.

Ole Ole Carnival!!Janīzu WEST

It’s so bright that you wonder if a song could be this cheerful.

The parts where the lyrics don’t really make sense are amusing, too.

There’s a bit of a risqué dance, but fans think that’s very Johnny’s WEST.

It gets the crowd really pumped at concerts.

Ya! Hot! Hot!Janīzu WEST

It was included as the coupling track to “Osaka Ai/EYE/Ai,” released in 2017.

The song was used in a commercial for Baskin-Robbins (31 Ice Cream).

It’s a lively, high-tempo, high-energy track that’s quintessentially Johnny’s WEST.

Lucky SpecialJanīzu WEST

This song is included on the second album “Lucky Seven,” released in December 2015.

It’s bright, poppy, and high-energy—quintessentially Johnny’s WEST—and just listening to it fills you with energy.

The choreography in the chorus is super catchy, easy to dance to, and makes you want to copy it.

“3.1415926535,” titled after the value of pi, is a track included on the second album “Lucky Seven,” released in December 2015.

With memorable phrases that evoke student life, it’s a high-energy song that can lift your spirits.

BelieverJanīzu WEST

This is a tough, badass track on par with PARTY MANIACS.

The outfits are cool too—capes, long coats, that kind of thing—and the song is full-on hardcore.

In the middle, Kotaki-kun’s solo part really tightens up the whole piece.
