Johnny's WEST's masterpieces and popular songs
Here are some songs by Johnny’s WEST, an idol group under Johnny & Associates that has been active since 2014.
As their name suggests, Johnny’s WEST is made up of members from Kansai Johnny’s Jr.
They are the first group in ten years to carry on the Kansai spirit since Kanjani Eight, who have gone on to become a nationwide sensation.
Originally, the group was supposed to debut with the current seven members, but just a few hours before their unveiling at the Johnny’s Countdown Live at the end of 2013, they were suddenly told they would debut as four.
They went on to perform in that day’s show as planned, but believing that the other three members’ strength was essential to aim for a nationally popular group, they later negotiated with the agency, and their debut as the current seven-member lineup was realized.
The performances of Johnny’s WEST, formed with such strong determination, truly resonate with the heart.
Please give a listen even to the songs you don’t know yet.

AWARDWEST.

A pop tune that combines a warmth that affirms everyday, ordinary moments with the festive atmosphere of a 10th-anniversary celebration.
It’s a song by WEST., a group from the Kansai region.
In the lyrics, “awards” are reimagined as praise for small, daily happenings, carrying a message that wholly validates listeners’ everyday lives.

It’s perfect for those who want to start their day with a positive mindset.
I don’t know though.WEST.

It’s a striking track that blends an urban sound with a distinctly Kansai sense of humor.
At first listen it feels like stylish city pop, but the lyrics are packed with that irresponsible little phrase people can’t help tacking onto the end of a conversation.
The gap between the cool performance and the comical lyrics brings out a charm that’s so quintessentially WEST.
Though it’s a song included on the album “Mixed Juice,” released in March 2022, its meticulously crafted music video was unveiled and sparked a huge reaction.
This piece is perfect for those moments when you want to laugh away the small worries of everyday life.
You can practically picture the members being earnestly silly, and just by listening, your heart is sure to feel a little lighter.
