As their name suggests, Johnny’s WEST is made up of members from Kansai Johnny’s Jr.
They are the first group in ten years to carry on the Kansai spirit since Kanjani Eight, who have gone on to become a nationwide sensation.
Originally, the group was supposed to debut with the current seven members, but just a few hours before their unveiling at the Johnny’s Countdown Live at the end of 2013, they were suddenly told they would debut as four.
They went on to perform in that day’s show as planned, but believing that the other three members’ strength was essential to aim for a nationally popular group, they later negotiated with the agency, and their debut as the current seven-member lineup was realized.

Created by WEST., a Kansai-born group known for their bright personalities, as the lead track for their 12th album “Yuiitsu Muni,” set for release in March 2026, this piece was crafted with lyrics, composition, and even choreography by member Daiki Shigeoka.
You can feel the intensity that seems to symbolize where the group is now and how they’re evolving.
The album also includes tracks like the theme song for the film “Ura-shain.

This is a song by Junta Nakama, the trainer of Johnny’s WEST.
