Johnny's WEST's masterpieces and popular songs

Here are some songs by Johnny’s WEST, an idol group under Johnny & Associates that has been active since 2014.

As their name suggests, Johnny’s WEST is made up of members from Kansai Johnny’s Jr.

They are the first group in ten years to carry on the Kansai spirit since Kanjani Eight, who have gone on to become a nationwide sensation.

Originally, the group was supposed to debut with the current seven members, but just a few hours before their unveiling at the Johnny’s Countdown Live at the end of 2013, they were suddenly told they would debut as four.

They went on to perform in that day’s show as planned, but believing that the other three members’ strength was essential to aim for a nationally popular group, they later negotiated with the agency, and their debut as the current seven-member lineup was realized.

The performances of Johnny’s WEST, formed with such strong determination, truly resonate with the heart.

Please give a listen even to the songs you don’t know yet.

100% I Love YouJanīzu WEST

This song was included as the coupling track to their fifth single CD, “Gyaku-ten Winner,” released in 2016.

It’s a sparkling, idol-like love song—unusual for Johnny’s WEST—that makes your heart skip a beat and overflows with the members’ affection.

KimikoiJanīzu WEST

It’s included on the mini-album “Paripipo,” released in July 2015.

It’s a stylish, upbeat track with a catchy groove that naturally gets your body swaying.

With a classic-sounding vibe, the song portrays someone struggling with unrequited love.

Mambo de WEST!Janīzu WEST

It’s a song that makes you think, “What’s that fluffy thing around the members’ necks? It’s so cute!” The dance where everyone links arms and moves together during the chorus is adorable, yet perfectly in sync and really cool.

This one also gets the crowd going—I’d love for you to listen to it when you’re feeling low, too.

The eighth single, released in 2017.

It was used as the theme song for the TV anime “Monster Hunter Stories RIDE ON.” It’s a pop, refreshing track themed around bonds with friends.

The adorable dancing in the music video is also a highlight.

An up-tempo, cool song.

It was used as an insert song in “Rental Savior,” which stars Ryusei Fujii, and he takes the center position in this track.

There’s a rap part in the song, the costumes are chic, and unlike their usual bright and lively numbers, this one is truly a “cool” song.

flour-based dishesJanīzu WEST

This is a song included on their first album, “go WEST Yo–i Don!”, released in August 2014.

It’s a fun track that conveys a passion for flour-based dishes such as okonomiyaki and takoyaki.

The lively Kansai dialect really amps up the excitement.

Break Out!Janīzu WEST

Like “Criminal,” it’s a very cool and stylish song.

The moment when Daiki Shigeoka and Kotaki grab each other by the collar right at the start gives me chills.

At concerts, the two of them pop up onto the stage, which makes it an even cooler number.
