Heart paper balloon

You’ll want to make lots of them! Here’s how to fold a cute heart paper balloon.
First, fold the edge toward you, flip the paper over, and slightly fold up the edge closest to you.
Fold that lifted edge up to meet the top edge.
With the side that forms a loop at the top, fold the two bottom corners up to the center.
Then fold those raised corners down toward both side edges to crease, and fold the corners down along those crease lines.
Fold the corners down further, open the pockets, and tuck the corners inside.
Next, slightly fold the four corners with a heart shape in mind.
Finally, blow air into it to inflate, and your heart paper balloon is complete!
cute Anpanman medalNEW!

Here’s how to make a medal with Anpanman’s face in the center.
First, fold the left and right edges of the origami paper to meet in the middle.
Next, fold the top and bottom edges the same way.
Open the top and bottom folded sections into a boat shape, then open the left and right corners of the boat and flatten them into squares.
Open those parts further into diamond shapes, then fold back the space between the diamonds outward.
Next, fold the corners of each diamond inward.
Finally, insert the Anpanman face—made using the zabuton fold—into the inside, and you’re done.
You can make various characters by changing the face.
Decorating is fun! A cake boxNEW!

Fold two origami papers into box shapes and stack them to represent the cake’s sponge and cream.
Place a three-dimensional strawberry and piped cream on top to finish.
Before forming the box shape, make fine creases, and proceed carefully.
For the cream, take a 5 cm origami sheet, fold it into a square twice, then squash the pocketed part into a triangle.
Fold it in half again, then roll it up from the edge to shape it.
For the strawberry, fold it into a triangle twice, squash the pocketed part into a square, and fold in the corners of the paper to make the calyx.
Finally, puff up the remaining part and it’s done!
menko (a traditional Japanese card-and-coin-flipping game)

Menko is a game that has long been loved by children.
The rules are simple: slam your own menko near the target menko, and if you flip it over, you win.
Some children may already play it.
This piece is based on that very menko.
Of course, you can actually use it to play, and since it uses two sheets of origami paper, it’s reasonably durable.
The method is similar to making a paper shuriken, so it’s a craft that even young children will find easy to make.

Introducing a cherry blossom medal that’s perfect for celebratory occasions like kindergarten entrance ceremonies, school entrance ceremonies, and advancement ceremonies.
Because it involves some complex folding and the use of scissors, it’s a recommended craft for older kindergarteners and elementary school children.
It may look difficult at first, but there are many repetitive steps, so you’ll likely get the hang of it after a few tries.
It makes a wonderful gift from teachers, of course, and it’s also lovely when made and given by current students.
We also recommend attaching a message card on the back.
Put your heart into it and give it a try!
A customizable origami ribbon

You can write a message in the opening! Here’s how to fold a cute ribbon card.
Place the origami with the white side facing up.
Fold it using the Kannon fold, then fold both top corners down to the center.
Using the folded corners as a starting point, fold the corners diagonally.
Make a fold about 2.5 cm below the top corner.
Fold the center corner upward.
Fold the bottom edge up to meet the folded corners.
From the edge as the starting point, fold the corners diagonally downward.
Tuck the folded part into the gap.
Fold the center corner just a little, and your ribbon card is complete!
Cute for wrapping too! How to fold a ribbon

This is a stylish way to fold a ribbon for wrapping.
Fold the origami paper into a triangle twice, then fold it twice more to make a square.
Crease along the folds, place the side that doesn’t open on top, and bend it slightly.
Open it up, then fold it again along the square formed in the center.
Fold a few centimeters inward from the edges and open it, then make five small cuts with scissors to shape it into a ribbon.
The three-dimensional form and the way the ribbon ends cross downward make it look just like the real thing.
It looks lovely on gifts and wrapping, so give it a try.

A heart-shaped box made from a single sheet

Let’s make a cute heart-shaped trinket box that will make you want to fill it with sweets.
First, fold it into a triangle twice to make creases, then fold the top and bottom corners toward the center.
Fold the same way once more and make a wrap fold.
From here, add more creases and fold it into a heart shape.
Leave the left side as is and fold it toward the center to form the side.
When folding the right corner, shape it into a heart.
Make two and stack them to create a lidded trinket box!
Cute bear tray

This cute bear tray can actually be made from a single sheet of origami paper.
To create the key feature—the bear’s ears—accordion-fold the top edge, flip the paper over, fold the left and right edges to the same width, then open and squash the pocketed sections at the top left and right.
Next, fold the bottom edge up to twice the width of the top fold, and fold all the corners of the folded-up section into triangles.
Fold this section back halfway to form the tray’s sides.
Then fold the ear sections inward, and tuck the two top corners under the opposite triangular flaps to finish.
You can make the ears look rounder by folding in the tips slightly.
How to fold a cute heart-shaped box

Here’s an idea for making a heart-shaped box using two sheets of origami paper.
First, make precise creases, then form a three-dimensional square tube.
Once you have the tube, indent one pair of opposite sides on one end to create two triangles, and sink-fold the top corners of those triangles.
Make two of these and combine them to form a heart shape.
The creasing step is extremely important, so press the paper firmly with your fingers to set the folds well.
As long as the creases are clean, turning it into a tube won’t be difficult.
