Heart paper balloon

You’ll want to make lots of them! Here’s how to fold a cute heart paper balloon.

First, fold the edge toward you, flip the paper over, and slightly fold up the edge closest to you.

Fold that lifted edge up to meet the top edge.

With the side that forms a loop at the top, fold the two bottom corners up to the center.

Then fold those raised corners down toward both side edges to crease, and fold the corners down along those crease lines.

Fold the corners down further, open the pockets, and tuck the corners inside.

Next, slightly fold the four corners with a heart shape in mind.

Finally, blow air into it to inflate, and your heart paper balloon is complete!

Fold the origami into a triangle three times with the colored side facing up.

Hold the corner that will be the center of the origami and roundly cut the top.

When you open it, it should look like a flower, so refold the creases alternating mountain and valley folds, and fold it into a heart shape.

If white edges show when folded, trim them with scissors.

The initial rounded cut determines the heart’s shape, so cut to match your image—a round heart, a long narrow heart, and so on.

How to fold a heart box

Some people make paper boxes to use as trash bins, right? I think a heart-shaped box like this would be super cute! In this idea, you start by creasing the paper to make a 4-by-4 grid of 16 squares.

Once you’ve made the creases, place the origami with the white side up, fold the left corner toward the center, and make a crease.

Then turn the paper over so the colored side is up, and, while folding the bottom and left edges inward along the creases, fold the left corner into a square shape.

This folded section will form the heart.

From here, you’ll add more creases to shape it into a box, so take it step by step and proceed carefully.

A cute box with mini drawers

A cute box with mini drawers

Here’s an idea for a drawer made by combining two square boxes.

One of the boxes has a handle, so it scores top marks for both design and usability! Fold two opposite corners of the origami to the center, then fold again into thirds to make creases.

After that, fold the remaining corners inward to form the box shape.

To make the box with a handle, fold one of the corners that would normally be folded to the center back outward.

Make several and combine them to create a chest of drawers.

Love Cats Pocket

If you’ve been thinking, “I wish there were a simple heart-shaped origami to hold Valentine’s chocolates…,” this is the one for you.

First, place the origami paper front side up with one edge facing you.

Fold it in half, then fold the left and right edges to meet at the center.

Fold the two corners on the closed side up toward the center and open them back up.

Use the creases to make mountain and valley folds to set the lines.

Open it up and fold in sequence so it forms a heart shape.

Next, fold the white section down.

The bottom edge will become the ears, so fold diagonally with that in mind.

Do the same on both sides.

Fold the top up and the cat is complete! If the chocolate is thin, you can tuck it into the pocket, so this is recommended.

Useful! Double-opening box

Origami Box [Easy-to-Understand Version] 🌸 Origami Box with gatefold lid – Revised for beginners –
Useful! Double-opening box

It’s a brilliant idea: it opens and closes from both sides, and the lower part of the lid overlaps so it shuts securely.

It may look difficult to make, but even beginners can give it a try.

First, fold all four corners of the origami square toward the center.

Fold the top corner outward once; after creasing, unfold it, then fold the corner again along the crease.

Next, fold the bottom edge up to align with the base of the top triangle.

Unfold the bottom edge, then fold the right edge to align with the corner of the small triangle created by the previous fold.

Continue by folding the top edge and the left edge in the same way.

From here, add fine creases to all four corners, reshape the whole piece into a long, narrow form, then form the lids at the top and bottom, and the box section in the center.

Hexagonal box accessory case

How to make a small, handy hexagonal box 💕 Cute accessory holder [Origami]
Hexagonal box accessory case

Fold a square sheet of origami to make a rectangle in your preferred size, then use a glue flap to form it into a tube.

Flatten the tube so it’s halved, then fold it into thirds.

After creasing firmly, return it to a tube and it will form a hexagon.

Make cuts along the creases, glue to form the base, and create a lid using the same steps.

Reinforce the base and lid by layering additional origami paper, then decorate with beads to finish.

You can make the tube and lid from the same paper, or use different colors for a cute look.
