Origami for Accessories and Gifts (51–60)
3D! Star-shaped accessory case

You can flatten and store it when not in use! It’s a star-shaped trinket box.
Fold the origami in half, then in half again to make a square.
After creasing, open it back to the half-folded state, align both side edges to the center line to crease, then unfold.
Fold the two bottom corners up to the outer crease, then fold again so the new creases align with the center line.
In this state, trim off the unnecessary top portion, and the origami becomes a hexagon.
Fold the edges of the hexagon inward, crease the center of the origami into a hexagon, then keep adding creases as you collapse it into a smaller hexagon.
Finally, fold the center area outward to make the opening of the container, press the sides inward to form a star shape, and you’re done!
How to fold a winged heart

A simple heart with wings design boosts the cuteness and playfulness in no time! First, fold the paper in half twice to make creases.
Fold the near edge up to the center.
Flip it over, fold the left and right edges to the center, then fold the near edge like making a boat, pressing in fine folds to set the lines.
Open it and continue folding in an accordion style.
Next, fold both bottom corners up into triangles.
Shape the corners into a heart, and your winged heart is complete! By changing the angle and size of the wings, the look changes, so you can enjoy creating your own original design.
crown

Why not try making a kid-sized crown using 25 cm origami paper? This crown looks like it’s made by connecting several parts, but you can actually make it with just one sheet! First, fold the paper into a square twice, then unfold it once to return to a single fold.
Fold the top and bottom edges to the center crease.
Open up the pocketed sections and squash them flat so they look like two houses side by side.
Fold the left and right sides to the back to make the paper a square again.
Fold the bottom on both sides up to meet the top corners, then fold the top corners down to meet the center line.
Next, open the folded-down sections and squash them flat, and use the creases to form the crown’s jagged points.
It’s easy enough for kids to make, so try it with some cute origami paper!
Easy! How to fold a heart

It’s simple yet very cute, and depending on how you arrange it, it’s perfect as a gift, decoration, or a little accent on a card.
Even beginners can fold it easily, so you can enjoy it right away.
Here, we’ve put together clear steps for making a quick and cute heart.
First, turn the origami over, place a corner facing you, and fold it into a triangle twice.
After folding a corner up to the center line, turn it upside down and fold the other corner up so it aligns with the edge.
Fold both corners up to meet the center line.
Finally, fold the four corners to shape a heart, and you’ll have an adorable result!
How to fold a heart box
Some people make paper boxes to use as trash bins, right? I think a heart-shaped box like this would be super cute! In this idea, you start by creasing the paper to make a 4-by-4 grid of 16 squares.
Once you’ve made the creases, place the origami with the white side up, fold the left corner toward the center, and make a crease.
Then turn the paper over so the colored side is up, and, while folding the bottom and left edges inward along the creases, fold the left corner into a square shape.
This folded section will form the heart.
From here, you’ll add more creases to shape it into a box, so take it step by step and proceed carefully.
