A chair made from milk cartons

[Phone Insurance Navi ~ We Can Make It] Making a Child’s Chair (Step Stool) from a Milk Carton ~ Frozen: Olaf Version ~
A chair made from milk cartons

This is a craft project to make a child’s chair out of milk cartons.

You’ll need twenty-four 1-liter milk cartons, two pieces of cardboard, scissors, and packing tape.

First, cut open all the milk cartons and tape them into triangular prisms.

After making all 24 into triangular prisms, tape them together into a hexagon to form the base of the chair.

Once the base is complete, cut two hexagons from the cardboard to match the size, and attach them to the seat surface and the bottom of the base to finish.

Try adding construction paper or drawing on it to make a chair that’s uniquely yours!

Easily recycle that thing you usually throw away! Shrink-plastic crafts
DIY shrink plastic using unwanted containers

Can you make a shrink-plastic keychain without shrink plastic sheets? Actually, you can make one using the plastic containers that supermarket fried foods come in! All you need is a plastic container, an oil-based marker, scissors, a hole punch, and a toaster.

Wash the plastic container, then cut it to make it easy to draw on.

First, draw your favorite design and cut it out with scissors along the outline.

Next, use the hole punch to make a hole where you want to attach the keychain chain.

Preheat the toaster at 600W for 80 seconds, then put the piece in and heat it until it shrinks and stops moving.

That’s it—an easy shrink-plastic keychain without using shrink-plastic sheets!

It’s hard to throw away a favorite T-shirt once it no longer fits, isn’t it? How about turning that T-shirt into a shopping essential—an eco-bag? And the best part: you won’t need a needle, thread, or sewing machine.

It’s a simple method that even kids can do.

Just use scissors to cut off the unnecessary parts, then snip along the bottom edge and tie the fringes together to form the base.

It’s easy and done in no time.

With this, your favorite T-shirt can start a second life!

Bouncing milk carton toy

Bouncing milk carton toy

This is a craft where you make a bouncing toy out of a milk carton.

Prepare one unflattened milk carton, three rubber bands, a utility knife, scissors, a ruler, and a marker.

First, cut off the bottom of the milk carton and the creased top section.

Cut the remaining part into three equal strips.

Do you have a square box made only of side panels? Fold the box flat, and along the vertical creases, make slits about 5 mm long at the top and bottom edges.

Hook the rubber bands into the slits, and you’re done.

Fold it down on the floor so the rubber bands are stretched, then let go—boing! The milk carton pops up!

buzzing top

[Wakuwaku-san’s Craft Workshop] Let’s make a “whirring spinning top” out of a milk carton!
buzzing top

This is a buzz-top that spins round and round when you pull the string.

Prepare the bottom or mouth section of a milk carton and use an awl or similar tool to make two holes in the center.

Thread kitchen twine through the holes and tie it.

Twist the string as if winding the top, then pull—your buzz-top will spin vigorously! If the twine is hard to thread, wrap the end with cellophane tape to help it slide through.

A plain milk carton can look a bit dull, so let your child decorate it freely with pens and stickers.

fluffy ghost

fluffy ghost

Let’s make a fluffy 3D ghost with a pop-out face! First, decorate a paper cup with stickers and markers.

Next, draw the ghost’s facial expression on a clear plastic bag, poke a hole in the cup, and insert a straw through it.

Pull the bag over the straw, blow air into it to inflate, and you’re done.

The fun part is watching the ghost’s face gradually puff up.

You can prepare lots of sticker varieties or adjust the size of the bag for different effects.

It’s a hands-on craft idea that lets kids learn through play while using their fine motor skills.

Chewy balls

[100-Yen Shop] How to Make Mochi-Mochi Balls #shorts
Chewy balls

These are squishy balls made by combining clay and balloons.

All you need are clay and balloons.

At 100-yen shops, you can find various types of clay with different textures, so it’s fun to prepare a few kinds and compare how they feel.

Making them is super easy: just stuff a suitable amount of clay into a balloon.

You can squeeze and play with it from the outside of the balloon, so even children who don’t like sticky hands can enjoy it.

It also helps prevent kids from accidentally putting clay in their mouths.
