Karaoke songs recommended for men with low voices or who are good at singing in a low register

In recent years, Japan’s music scene has seen an increase in songs with lots of high notes, influenced by K-pop.

As a result, it’s become harder for men with lower voices to find songs that suit them.

So! We’ve selected recommended tracks specifically for men with deep voices.

We also considered how well these songs go over at karaoke, so if you’re planning to go with a group soon, be sure to check them out.

Recommended karaoke songs for men with low voices and those good at singing in the lower register (231–240)

milk teaFukuyama Masaharu

Masaharu Fukuyama – milk tea (Fukuyama☆Summer Thanksgiving Festival: My Stadium Live Requests!! ~Let’s Do It Solo Acoustic~)
milk teaFukuyama Masaharu

It’s Masaharu Fukuyama’s 21st single in total, released on May 24, 2006.

Fukuyama is known for his moving vocals rich in low overtones, and this song is no exception—his voice shines in this acoustic slow ballad.

For a voice like his, an acoustic arrangement might be one of the best fits.

Now, if you’re singing this song at karaoke, there aren’t any particularly high notes throughout, so for those with lower voices, please sing gently and tenderly, as if whispering, with heartfelt emotion.

Your voice’s charm will surely come through to your friends!

Goodbye, KobeTakahashi Eiichi

This is the third single by Eiichi Takahashi, an enka and kayōkyoku singer from Shiga Prefecture, released in 2018.

The lyrics and music were written by Nobutaka Oishi, who is also active as an enka singer.

He’s still something of a hidden gem, but his sweet, resonant low voice is incredibly appealing—perfectly fitting this article’s theme of “captivating ikebo” (irresistibly attractive male voice).

It’s a song I’d love to hear from anyone confident in their rich, low register and sweet tone.

By the way, I also produced this work!

Eight beatZa Kuromaniyonzu

The fourth single by the Japanese rock band The Cro-Magnons, released on May 21, 2008.

It’s an upbeat, catchy punk rock number, and you don’t need any nitpicky reasoning to sing this song! The vocal part is crafted to make the singer Hiroto Kōmoto’s rich, low voice sound as appealing as possible—truly a track for low-voiced guys… for low-voiced rock guys!! Don’t sweat the small stuff—just enjoy “singing” and “letting your voice out” to the fullest!

California ConnectionMizutani Yutaka

California ConnectionMizutani Yutaka

This was Yutaka Mizutani’s fifth single overall, released on April 21, 1979.

It was produced as the theme song for the popular drama “Netchū Jidai: Keiji-hen,” in which Mizutani starred.

Since it was such a hit show, I imagine quite a few people who are now in their late 40s, as of when this piece was written in 2022, were glued to their TVs watching it back then.

Listening to the song again now, I’m struck by how Mizutani’s vocals showcase an attractive low register while never feeling heavy—he keeps it light and breezy.

If you sing this at karaoke, try to preserve that buoyant, nonchalant vibe as you perform it!

Let’s go!! Rider KickFujioka Hiroshi

This is the earliest theme song from the wildly popular Showa-era tokusatsu drama Kamen Rider—so famous it hardly needs any introduction.

It’s a classic tune that just about everyone has heard at least once, and with the 2023 remake Shin Kamen Rider doing so well, I’ve deliberately chosen it in the spirit of riding that wave of popularity.

The singer, Hiroshi Fujioka—needless to say, the actor who played Kamen Rider No.

1—has a wonderfully soothing, deep voice.

Don’t overthink it; just tap into your inner kid, sing along, and enjoy! With the Shin Kamen Rider film performing strongly right now, it’s sure to be a welcome, timely pick.

ChronostasisBUMP OF CHICKEN

BUMP OF CHICKEN “Chronostasis”
ChronostasisBUMP OF CHICKEN

A digital-only single, the 18th by BUMP OF CHICKEN, released on April 11, 2022.

The band’s vocalist, Motoo Fujiwara, is a singer with a wonderfully light voice featuring very attractive higher overtones.

Because of that, some people might wonder, “Can someone like me with a low voice really sing this?” But there’s no need to worry—the vocal melody mainly uses lower notes and pitches.

In fact, I think the melody is easier to sing for those who are good with lower registers.

However, if you want to capture a nuance similar to his performance, try using as light a vocal production as possible and aim the sound toward your upper palate.

That should bring you closer to the feel of the original.

All Waiting For MeRYKEYDADDY.X

The other day, RYKEY finally got back out into the free world.

He’s changed his artist name to RYKEYDADDY.X and dropped several new tracks in a short span.

The standout that’s drawing the most attention is All Waiting For Me.

It’s a talk-style rap that’s direct yet lyrical, showcasing his rugged, deep-toned voice throughout.

The hook is built in a low register as well, so it’s highly recommended for those with low, raspy voices.
