white clover
White clover, often seen in spring in parks and gardens, is a plant that evokes gentleness and lightness.
Cut a rectangular sheet of origami paper into small pieces and round them to create petal shapes.
By adding a curve to the tips of the petals, you can achieve a realistic-looking flower.
Use long, thin strips of paper to make the stem, and represent the distinctive leaves of white clover.
Arrange heart-shaped pieces of origami in green gradient tones to create the clover.
Finally, decorate with a ladybug made of origami to finish.
Combining white clover and clover makes for a decoration that conveys the arrival of spring, even from the wall.
pansy
Among ornamental plants, the ever-popular pansy makes a perfect wall decoration to create a spring-like atmosphere.
Fold a rectangular sheet of origami paper into eighths, then cut out circles or heart shapes to make the petals.
Layer these pieces and glue them together to form a vibrant pansy.
If you add patterns in a darker color of origami at the center of the petals, you can recreate the pansy’s distinctive coloration.
Use thick paper as a base and attach the petals.
Cut green origami into jagged shapes for the leaves and arrange them around the pansies.
By placing the petals and leaves separately, you can evoke a spring garden full of blooming pansies.
Why not make a spring-themed wall decoration in your favorite colors, such as yellow or pink?
Honeybees and a flower field
Spring—what do you imagine? Cute honeybees and flower fields… how perfectly spring-like! Would you like to make those two motifs? First, prepare origami paper, A4 copier paper, scissors, a craft knife, glue, colored pencils, and a pencil.
It might be a good idea to divide up the tasks and work together.
If you make them in a big group, chatting and having fun, you’ll grow fond of the finished pieces, right? You could even use them as decorations for a calendar! Be sure to give it a try!

Choosing colorful strings and carefully crafting each petal is also a great way to use your hands.
The joy of working together to create a one-of-a-kind bouquet is truly special.
When you see the finished bouquet, you’ll surely be filled with a sense of accomplishment.
It becomes a heartfelt gift, full of love, that conveys the warmth of something handmade.

Origami chocolate

Spring is full of fun events and celebrations.
How about enjoying exciting occasions like the Doll Festival and White Day by handmaking cute items? Here’s a simple, adorable chocolate you can make using only origami.
Let’s handcraft a familiar, popular chocolate confection out of paper using brown chocolate and pink strawberry flavors as inspiration.
Fold two triangular pyramids with different sizes and bumpy textures, then layer and glue the brown piece on the bottom and the pink piece on top—that’s it! This was a cute chocolate-inspired motif, perfect for Valentine’s Day or White Day.
peach blossoms

The March event, Hinamatsuri, is also called the Peach Festival.
Held on March 3, just when peach blossoms bloom, Hinamatsuri is a celebration wishing for girls’ healthy growth.
For this special day, let’s handcraft adorable peach blossoms out of origami.
Prepare origami paper in various sizes and shades of pink.
Once you’ve finished folding, draw the stamens and pistils in the center with a pen to complete the flowers.
Stick them on walls or windows, scatter them on the table, and decorate your room to welcome a wonderful spring.
Cherry Blossoms and a Bridge
When you think of scenery where cherry blossoms stand out, many scenes come to mind, but the combination of a bridge and cherry blossoms especially evokes a traditional Japanese atmosphere.
This decoration recreates that quintessentially Japanese image by arranging paper pieces like elements in a painting to depict a bridge with cherry blossoms.
The key is the shape of the cherry blossom petals: by making a small slit in each petal and overlapping the cut edges, you create a three-dimensional effect.
After that, simply arrange the petal and leaf pieces on the backing paper and attach the bridge piece in one corner to finish.
It’s also fun to play with color gradients and to pay attention to the shape of the bridge.
