In the UQ Three Sisters series, the middle and youngest sisters—Mikako Tabe and Mei Nagano—appear in the commercial titled “Film Shoot.” The music used in this ad is “UFO” by Pink Lady, a legendary idol duo representing the Showa era, whose name and sound resemble “UQ mobile.” Released in 1977, the song became Pink Lady’s biggest hit, along with its distinctive dance.

This is a cover of ‘Zenryoku Shounen’ by Mei Nagano.

It’s a song that matches the clean, refreshing image of Calpis.

The original has a powerful, encouraging feel, but Mei Nagano’s version of ‘Zenryoku Shounen’ seems to have a delicate touch, doesn’t it? It feels like a song that would be great for everyone to sing at karaoke! It gives the impression of joyfully celebrating youth.

In the commercial “Smartphone & Face Close-Up,” featuring Kyoko Fukada and Mei Nagano—eldest and youngest of the UQ Sisters—appearing as themselves, the upbeat dance-music-style track used is an original song made for the CM.

Even in the short runtime, the four-on-the-floor beat gets your body moving! The melody combines catchy energy with a cool vibe, and it’s so appealing it wouldn’t be surprising if it were sold or streamed somewhere.

It’s a number that makes you want to keep riding the beat long after the commercial ends.
