Pocky commercial songs: A comprehensive look at the historical CM tracks (51–60)
INFORMERlecca

Reggae singer lecca’s “INFORMER” is included on her 2012 album Step One.
The song was used in the Glico Pocky Space Shower TV commercial, the “lecca × Pocky” version.
Its catchy groove and cool vibe make it instantly accessible even to listeners who aren’t familiar with reggae, likely prompting many people to look up at the TV.
It’s addictive, danceable, and a tune that sticks in your ears.
BelieversThe Back Horn

Believers by THE BACK HORN resounds with a fiery rock sound.
Featured in a commercial, the song appears on their 2014 album Fanfare of Dawn, and the band members themselves appear in the ad.
The lyrics convey a strong resolve: no matter what past you carry, how rough the road ahead may be, or how much others may laugh, you’ll live the way you believe.
When you’re overwhelmed with stress to the point of wanting to scream, or when things aren’t going well and you’re troubled, why not listen to this track and clear your head?
We might never meet again.Kikuchi Momoko

This is the sixth single released in 1985 by Momoko Kikuchi, an idol who epitomized the Showa era.
At the time, trips taken by female office workers together were a big trend, so the commercial featured Kikuchi eating Pocky at various tourist spots.
It’s interesting how they tapped into the trend with the idea, “Let’s have people eat Pocky even while traveling.” However, the song itself expresses the heartrending feeling of lamenting a farewell to a loved one.
If you’ve ever taken a healing trip to mend a broken heart, you’ll likely relate to it deeply.
Nagisasupittsu

This is Spitz’s 14th single, released in 1996, and their first song to reach No.
1 on the Oricon charts.
It was used in the “Pocky Saka Koi Monogatari” commercial and was revived in 2015 as a CM song for the Subaru Forester, drawing renewed attention.
Vocalist Masamune Kusano, who wrote the lyrics and composed the music, has said it was a favorite of his—so much so that he “listened to it over and over again.” The poignant wish, sung in a voice full of clarity—“I want to stay forever immersed in a dreamlike happiness”—is deeply moving.
