Actress, singer, and an active participant in various social causes, Kou Shibasaki has many fans who love her singing voice.

The song “Wasurenagusa” (Forget-me-not) was included as the B-side to her fourth single, “Omoide Dake de wa Tsurasugiru,” released in 2003.

The track conveys feelings for someone you may never see again—an attachment that can’t be severed and lingering regrets toward that person.

It’s a song that likely brings to mind such emotions and such a person for anyone who listens.

Pocky commercial — Ikimonogakari “Joyful”

Ikimono-gakari’s “Joyful” was released in 2009 as their 15th single, a song that expresses a sense of fun throughout.

Layered over its light, joy-conveying sound, the lyrics also emphasize the resonance of the words, showcasing an irresistible, sing-along kind of delight.

The track was created by request as a commercial song for Ezaki Glico’s Pocky, and the lively mood of the footage it accompanied became a focal point that drew attention.

Because the wording is so light and buoyant, the dancing in the video really stands out, vividly conveying the shared excitement and the thrill of everyone getting hyped together.

HELLO, IT’S MEL⇔R

“HELLO, IT’S ME” was released as L⇔R’s 6th single and was featured in a commercial starring Misa Shimizu, Riho Makise, Yuri Nakae, and Masami Imamura as the “Pocky Four Sisters.” Two years later, the film Four Sisters Story featuring the four of them was released, with “HELLO, IT’S ME” used as the theme song.

Stick to fun! Tonight!Saitō Kazuyoshi

A song written by Kazuyoshi Saito in 2010 for a collaboration commercial between Space Shower TV and Pocky.

His co-starring appearance with actress Umika Kawashima, as well as the “Pocky Guitar” designed with the Pocky package that was used in the commercial and the promotional video, also became a hot topic.

The song features a rock-based melody characteristic of Saito, and the lyrics, sprinkled with slightly nonsensical phrases, are great fun.

It’s an overwhelming showcase of Saito’s talent—who would have thought you could create such a cool rock track with a single Pocky stick as the theme!

Czecho No Republic / For You [Short ver.]
For YouCzecho No Republic

A Pocky-themed song performed by the rock band Czecho No Republic.

Released as a single in 2015, it’s a track featuring the band’s sole female member, Mai Takahashi, as the lead vocalist.

Her airy, translucent voice seems to perfectly match Pocky’s pop image, but in fact, the song was created around the theme of “a love song from a woman to a man, sung in memory of her late lover.” The slightly fairy-tale-like, dreamlike atmosphere also conveys the distinctive originality characteristic of Czecho No Republic.

Bedroom DiscoRAM RIDER

This is a track that wraps you in a mysterious exhilaration, as if your own room transforms into a dance floor.

Its electro sound and wistful melody blend together beautifully.

Produced by Japanese music producer RAM RIDER, it was released in September 2005 as his second major single.

The theme is a summer memory: dreaming of the dance floor from an air-conditioned room.

The lyrics’ worldview, where a sense of confinement intersects with liberation, sparks the listener’s imagination.

It was also featured in a Glico Pocky commercial and later included on the acclaimed album “PORTABLE DISCO.” It’s perfect for when you want to immerse yourself in music alone, or for a late-summer drive.
