Happy! Fun! I love it!DREAMS COME TRUE

“Ureshii! Tanoshii! Daisuki!” by DREAMS COME TRUE was released in 1989 as the B-side to “Ureshi Hazukashi Asa-gaeri.” Beyond the Pocky commercials, it was featured in various other ads and even served as the theme song for the film “A Bouquet for Yamada Babaa.” The lyrics, which bubble over with the excitement of meeting your destined person, are so buoyant they make you happy just by listening! Many people probably wish to encounter a fated love that makes them feel this way.
Give it a listen as the theme song for when a romance begins.
Stairs of a ‘kidult’Nanba Shiho

Kodona no Kaidan, used in a Pocky Chocolate campaign, is singer Shiho Namba’s second major-label single, released as a Tower Records exclusive.
With lyrics by Yusuke Koide of Base Ball Bear and composition by Ichiro Yamaguchi of Sakanaction, it’s a pop number driven by circling, revolving synth sounds.
It captures both artists’ musical sensibilities, blending playful spirit with delicate emotional nuance.
It accompanies that push-and-pull of wanting to act grown-up yet not quite ready to be an adult, and it nestles up to those fleeting, here-and-now moments.
The subtle shades created by Namba’s soft, faintly ennui-tinged vocals are a key part of its appeal.

Etude of the Wild RoseMatsuda Seiko

Seiko Matsuda’s “Etude of a Wild Rose,” which was used as the Pocky commercial song in which she herself appeared, is a single released in October 1982.
With lyrics by Takashi Matsumoto and composition by Kazuo Zaitsu, its beautiful world draws you in from the very first listen.
Seiko’s exquisite voice seeps in gently, conveying the feelings of growing into adulthood.
You may also sense an emotional quality that seems to accompany you on a heartbreak getaway or a solo journey.
It’s a song that makes you want to listen while taking in the beautiful autumn scenery.
It’s summer, isn’t it?TUBE
TUBE is a rock band from Kanagawa Prefecture known for songs like “Season in the Sun” and “Aa Natsuyasumi.” Their track “Natsu da ne” is a pop song whose refreshing tone evokes summertime scenes swaying in the breeze.
The clear, airy keyboard sounds give it a pleasant, nostalgic ’90s vibe.
Compared to TUBE’s other songs, this one has a slower tempo, putting you in a relaxed mood, as if you’re taking a break on the beach.
The ends of the worldDOES

This is one of the tracks from DOES, the three-piece rock band best known for “Shura” (Cloudy Sky), released in 2009 as the band’s first double A-side single.
It was used in a Pocky chocolate commercial.
A rock tune with a smooth band sound and an exhilarating sense of speed.
The lyrics, which liken the ebb and flow of waves to the push and pull of romance, give your heart a squeeze.
It seems open to many interpretations as a love song, too.
After one listen, you’re left feeling just a little brighter.
streamlinedFujifaburikku

The single “Tsurezure Monochrome/Ryuusenkei” was the first release by Fujifabric as a three-member lineup.
It’s a double A-side single: “Tsurezure Monochrome” served as the theme song for the anime Tsuritama, and “Ryuusenkei” was used as the CM song for the Pocky Chocolate Space Shower TV version.
With its expansive chorus and a melody that becomes addictive after just one listen, it’s sure to stick in your head.
It’s a highly recommended track for those moments when you want to push yourself a bit or get pumped up.
image trainingNICO Touches the Walls
Image Training, featured in the Pocky Chocolate Space Shower TV version, is a track by the rock band NICO Touches the Walls, who sadly disbanded in 2019.
The song appears on their major-label debut mini-album How are you? and is a remake from their indie days.
NICO’s songs carry a wistful yet refreshing quality with a pleasant sense of drive, and this track really expands on that “image.” It may have been the song that helped define their subsequent direction and band style.
A masterpiece that always wraps you in an emotional feeling whenever you listen.
