Giant Triangular Tower

It’s a very simple game, but actually tricky! Try the newspaper tower challenge! Lay a sheet of newspaper lengthwise and fold it so it becomes a quarter of its original width.
Next, fold it into a triangular prism shape and tuck in the end.
Because it stores flat once folded, you can make it once and play again and again, which is nice.
The rules for the newspaper tower are simple: stack the triangular pieces of newspaper on top of each other and compete to see how many you can pile up.
People watching should call out instructions like, “A little to the right, left, it’s leaning!” This also helps promote communication.

Foot Beanbag Bingo

One activity option for events and parties is a bingo game.
Many older adults are already familiar with bingo, aren’t they? While bingo is usually played on paper, this time we’ll introduce a version that uses the feet and beanbags.
Prepare nine paper plates or cups, and have the older adults use their feet to toss beanbags into them.
Use colored tape to group the plates or cups by color, and change the score based on where the beanbag lands.
For example, award 20 points if the beanbag lands in a plate or cup of the same color, and 10 points if it’s a different color.
Because they lift their legs to toss the beanbags, older adults can enjoy the game while also training their legs.
Balloon volleyball box-in

This is a game where you use a handheld uchiwa fan to hit a balloon upward and try to get it into a box placed in the center of the table.
Because the box is positioned out of arm’s reach, your control over how you launch the balloon is really put to the test.
People closer to the box end up moving their hands more, so it’s best to have everyone try multiple rounds, changing the starting positions and the box’s position to keep the balloon circulating evenly.

Ping-pong ball catch

May and June, when temperatures gradually rise and it feels good to get moving, are the perfect season for exercise.
Prepare some fun activities and gently loosen up bodies that got sluggish over the winter! This time, we’re introducing “Ping-Pong Ball Catch.” Attach strips of duct tape in a grid pattern across a hula hoop, then have someone hold it with the sticky side facing up.
From a distance, throw ping-pong balls and have them catch the balls on the taped area.
Adjust the size of the hoop according to participants’ abilities so everyone can enjoy it.
It also serves as upper-limb training while you play, making it a great recommendation for recreational activities in senior care facilities.
Newspaper Pull-Out Game

Here’s a game you can enjoy using old newspapers.
All you need are newspapers, a basket, and some tape.
Open the newspaper, cut it in half, and tape the pieces together lengthwise to make a long strip.
You can add more later, so adjust the length according to the participants’ condition and ability.
Roll the long newspaper strip into a cylinder, place it in the basket, and you’re ready to go.
When the game starts, use your hands to wind it up as fast as you can—whoever finishes first wins.
It’s simple, fun to watch, and great for large groups.
