[Tokyo Gas] Want to watch again! A roundup of moving all-time commercials (21–30)
The Family Story: The Uncool Dad Edition

This might be a commercial that brings tears to fathers with daughters.
A girl who only ever saw her dad looking tired at home thought he was uncool.
But after seeing him bow his head desperately to protect his family, she changes her mind.
When the father apologizes, saying, “Sorry for being uncool,” the daughter replies, “Dad, you’re cool.” It’s funny how the dad’s joy is depicted as a heart set on fire.
The daughter is played by actress Fumi Nikaido, and the father by actor Tomorowo Taguchi.
Gas Mask MASK OF GAS series ‘MASK OF GAS EPISODE 5: Grilled Doll’

This is a Tokyo Gas commercial for the Pipitto stove, titled “Showdown: The Grill-Doll,” starring Mugi Kadowaki and Yutaka Takenouchi.
Even though it’s supposed to be a stove commercial, for some reason they’re both dancing like crazy (lol).
Also, it’s funny how a guy who seems foreign rattles off ‘nani yuuten nen’ without hesitation, and Mugi Kadowaki shouting ‘Yakamashii!’ right there is just perfect! It’s such a chaotic commercial that it really makes you want to see what happens next (lol).
Safety and Disaster Prevention: “Safety TODAY – Earthquake Sensor” Edition

This is the Tokyo Gas commercial “Safety TODAY: Rooftop Earthquake Sensor” featuring Kasumi Arimura that aired in 2012.
The ad starts with Kasumi Arimura singing, “Tokyo Gaaas’s Safety TODAY!” and it became a hot topic online for being super cute.
We don’t often get to hear actresses sing, after all! Still, no matter how cute it is, don’t forget to prepare for earthquakes—just in case!
Blue Bird ChapterSatoshi Tsumabuki

This is Tokyo Gas’s commercial “Blue Bird.” In gentle, pastel-touch animation, multiple blue gas flames come together to form a blue bird.
It shows gas being transported by tanker, then stored in gas tanks, followed by scenes like the lights of homes at night.
The animated tagline reads, “Continuing to create everyone’s everyday normal.” It’s a piece that makes you appreciate the value of gas.
“Barber Suga: Liberalization Shot”Suzu Hirose / Satoshi Tsumabuki / Denden

A customer appears at Barbersuga, fretting over which power company to choose after electricity market deregulation.
That customer is the manga artist Yoichi Takahashi—the creator of Captain Tsubasa.
Suzu Hirose jumps into the manga itself and scores a very acrobatic shot.
The title of the manga being “Vice-Captain Deregulation” is also something you can’t help but poke fun at.
Tokyo Gas Electricity: ‘Barbasuga – Mr. Takei at Ease’Suzu Hirose / Satoshi Tsumabuki / So Takei

Mr.
Sosuke Takei, an employee of Tokyo Gas, appears before Barbasuga, who is struggling to decide on a power company.
He explains the recommended points within an imagined jungle.
In that imagination, Mr.
Denden has turned into a gorilla.
It feels just right and suits him well.
“Barber Suga: Liberalization Dunk”Suzu Hirose / Satoshi Tsumabuki / Denden

The Tokyo Gas series commercial “Barber Suga: Liberalization Dunk,” starring Denden, Satoshi Tsumabuki, and Suzu Hirose.
The three of them work at a barbershop, and the customer Suzu Hirose is attending to is manga artist Yoichi Takahashi—the creator of the mega-hit Captain Tsubasa.
In his new basketball-themed manga, Suzu Hirose pulls off an acrobatic dunk.
I got so caught up in that part that I wasn’t quite sure what the commercial was actually for (lol).
