Toyota commercial roundup: stylish, premium-feel ads (21–30)
TOYOTA RAIZE “Shiritori Drive” Version

Titled “Shiritori Drive,” this commercial depicts a couple enjoying a driving date while playing shiritori, a Japanese word-chain game.
Since it’s a RAIZE commercial, whenever it’s the woman’s turn and the syllable is “ra,” she always answers with “RAIZE.” In the end, when it comes around to her with “to,” she replies “Toyota,” wrapping it up with a stylish touch that leaves a strong impression.
TOYOTA ROOMY “See Inside the Roomy”

It’s a concept commercial designed to showcase just how much cargo space the Roomy has.
We follow a woman and take a look at everything she’s carrying in her Roomy.
Starting with a huge collection of merchandise for her favorite idols, plus her husband’s leisure gear and their child’s bicycle, the car is packed with all kinds of items.
In the latter half of the ad, everything that was loaded into the Roomy is laid out side by side, and there’s so much that it makes you want to ask, “Did all of that really fit?” It does a great job of highlighting the vehicle’s impressive carrying capacity.

TOYOTA Roomy Inside Look ~Mi~ “MAX” VersionNANA(MAX)

This commercial highlights the ROOMY’s large storage capacity by showing, in an interview-style video, just how much luggage it can hold.
The interviewees are the members of MAX, and it depicts how, in addition to their personal belongings, they can neatly store a large amount of concert merchandise while still fitting all the members in the car.
The song that further brings out the members’ vibrant expressions is one of MAX’s signature tracks, “Ride on time.” Its lively, dance-influenced sound helps convey a strong sense of excitement through their vocals.
Toyota Premio ‘Beautiful Morning’ Version

This is a song originally written for the 1933 musical Roberta, known in Japan by the title “Kemuri ga Me ni Shimiru” (“Smoke Gets in Your Eyes”).
It was featured in a 2005 TV commercial for the Toyota Premio.
The commercial used a cover by Jo Stafford, giving the piece an elegant and refined feel.
In addition to The Platters’ famous rendition, many other versions by various musicians exist, so it might be interesting to compare them.
Toyota Corolla Fielder

In this commercial for the Corolla Fielder, which features a boy co-starring with Ken Hirai, the boy hums Hirai’s song “Omoi ga Kasanaru Sono Mae ni,” and then Hirai appears.
After they get in a car together and change locations, Hirai continues singing the song—an impressively dramatic development.
Even now, it’s a wonderful commercial that moves the heart.
TOYOTA e TOYOTA ‘The Toyota that Runs on Electricity’ Edition

This is the “Toyota Runs on Electricity” segment, where all of Toyota’s electrically powered vehicles gather in one place.
From familiar names to less commonly heard ones—hybrid HEVs, plug-in rechargeable PHEVs, hydrogen-fueled FCEVs, and battery electric BEVs—various types of electricity-using cars make an appearance.
With characters and cars styled after the E TOYOTA logo chatting together, the ad is staged like a children’s program, giving it a friendly, approachable feel.
TOYOTA PRIUS ‘TWO SOULS’ Version

This web commercial, the “TWO SOULS” edition, has been making waves as a spot that completely refreshes the Prius’s image.
It opens with stunning, kaleidoscopic visuals and then unfolds into scenes of the car driving on circuits and through city streets, making for a stylish, eye-catching ad.
The way the footage dives into the engine’s interior and even into the driver’s eyes creates a sense of immediacy reminiscent of a car action movie—truly impressive direction!
