YKK AP “APW 651: Living with the Warmth of Wood”
This is a YKK AP commercial introducing the APW 651 window frame, which features the appealing, high-quality ambiance of domestically produced hinoki cypress.
While the interior uses wood for a tactile, natural feel, the exterior adopts aluminum sashes, and the triple glazing provides excellent thermal insulation—emphasizing that there’s no compromise on functionality.
Many viewers were likely drawn to how it combines aesthetics with performance.
YKK AP Window and Cat Story: “Graffiti” Chapter

This is one of the window-and-cat stories from YKK AP’s popular commercial series.
Titled “Graffiti,” the video opens with a scene where a boy scribbles on a window.
His mother tries to wipe it off, but it doesn’t come off easily.
Even so, on another day the boy draws on the window again.
Later, while he’s asleep, his mother looks at the drawing and sees that it shows the boy playing with the baby brother who will be born soon.
It’s a heartwarming depiction of how he’s been eagerly awaiting the arrival of new life in his own way.
YKK AP “A Day in the Life with Windows”

Here is a film that expresses YKK AP’s philosophy through homes and the lives of the people in them around the world.
By showing one scene after another of people’s lives unfolding by their windows across the globe, it portrays the relationship between windows and people with a slightly special atmosphere.
The commercial ends with an English message stating, “We want to create a better society through building materials,” and it’s crafted to make windows feel like something special to us.

YKK AP “Purpose” Chapter

In this video titled “Purpose,” YKK AP’s philosophy and the aim of its corporate activities are expressed.
Its message is to “make society happier through Architectural Products,” meaning the company seeks a better society through building materials such as windows and doors.
It clearly conveys their commitment to a happier society by improving energy efficiency and comfort and by achieving carbon neutrality.
YKK AP “Home Alone” Version

This commercial portrays a cat left at home to house-sit.
You might think it would feel lonely, but instead it enjoys a fulfilling time thanks to the window.
As soon as its owner leaves, the cat opens the window, invites its friends in, and enjoys some free time.
The increasingly messy scene and the variety of animals that show up—not just cats—create a comedic mood even without facial expressions.
When the owner returns, they dote on the cat without noticing what has just happened, subtly suggesting that windows can hold untold stories.
YKK AP “Easy MadoRimo Shutter: New Wind-Resistant Shutter Release” VersionShigeru Muroi

This is a commercial introducing the “Madorimo Shutter,” a wind-resistant shutter.
A couple watching actress Shigeru Muroi introduce the wind-resistant shutter on TV hesitates, saying, “We’d like one too, but we already have storm shutters…” Then Muroi jumps out of the TV and explains that the Madorimo Shutter can be retrofitted to various types of windows.
She goes on to introduce its features, highlighting the strong sense of security and comfort it provides.
YKK AP “Birds of a Feather” Edition

It’s a warm, inviting commercial that portrays the everyday life of a cat and its owner around a window, expressing how alike they are as they repeat similar behaviors.
From the way they look while sleeping to their moments of relaxation, their closeness in various scenes reveals their bond.
It’s also important what each of them is looking at through the window; from their shared viewpoint, you can sense that not only their actions but even their thoughts are similar.
In this way, the piece conveys that windows hold many stories, reflecting YKK AP’s commitment to supporting life through its windows.
