YKK: The Sound of a Beginning – “Always by Your Side”

It’s a youthfully vibrant YKK zipper commercial that portrays the sound of a zipper being pulled as “the sound of beginnings”! Scenes like unzipping a bag to take out a laptop, or unzipping a jacket to play basketball, all spotlight the zippers that are so familiar in our daily lives—really leaving an impression.
The ad features an original song made just for the commercial, and the charming twist is that it’s presented as if the zippers themselves are singing, with meticulous attention to detail throughout.
YKK AP “famitto Glass Type” Version

This commercial introduces variations of the famitto glass interior doors for indoor installation through real-life living scenes.
It features three types: a clear type that lets you feel connected to your family, a matte type that doesn’t show what’s on the other side and is recommended for private areas, and a string type that gently blocks the line of sight while adding a stylish touch.
Seeing them presented alongside everyday life makes it easy to picture how they’d fit into your home!
YKK AP “Katakago no Hana” Version

This is a conceptual commercial that warmly portrays the relationship between people and windows.
It presents the view outside the window not merely as the outdoors, but connects it with uplifting words such as a vast, beautiful world, the future, and hope.
It conveys YKK AP’s philosophy of how they perceive windows.
The background music features an original song created for this commercial, “Katakago no Hana ~Spring Fairy~.” Tomomi’s gentle vocals and the calm melody are a perfect match, resulting in a soothing track that heals the heart.
YKK: The Sound of a Beginning – ‘A Challenge to Dreams’ Edition

This is a YKK commercial depicting the struggles of a male fashion designer.
The man, who is designing clothing for a fashion show, uses YKK zippers as a key element of his designs.
Although he narrowly misses out on the award, the video—packed with the traces of his efforts—truly stirs the heart.
It perfectly matches the series title, “The Sound of a Beginning,” and makes you imagine that his challenge will continue from here.
The background music features Ryokuoushoku Shakai’s “Jibun Seifuku,” a song that conveys the desire to conquer oneself and choose one’s own future.
YKK AP Window and Cat Story: Teammate

YKK AP’s Window and Cat Story series has drawn attention for its moving tales each time.
In the latest installment, “Teammates,” a girl who made a mistake during a game is feeling down in her room at home when her teammates come to cheer her up.
Looking out the window, she sees their smiling faces and regains her spirit.
By the way, the warm story is set to an original piece of music composed specifically for the commercial.
YKK AP Window and Cat Story: “Graffiti” Chapter

This is one of the window-and-cat stories from YKK AP’s popular commercial series.
Titled “Graffiti,” the video opens with a scene where a boy scribbles on a window.
His mother tries to wipe it off, but it doesn’t come off easily.
Even so, on another day the boy draws on the window again.
Later, while he’s asleep, his mother looks at the drawing and sees that it shows the boy playing with the baby brother who will be born soon.
It’s a heartwarming depiction of how he’s been eagerly awaiting the arrival of new life in his own way.
YKK AP “A Day in the Life with Windows”

Here is a film that expresses YKK AP’s philosophy through homes and the lives of the people in them around the world.
By showing one scene after another of people’s lives unfolding by their windows across the globe, it portrays the relationship between windows and people with a slightly special atmosphere.
The commercial ends with an English message stating, “We want to create a better society through building materials,” and it’s crafted to make windows feel like something special to us.
