Ajinomoto commercial songs. Popular commercial songs (1–10)
Original songTomita Ken

This is an original piano instrumental used as the theme song for the Pal Sweet commercial, a low-calorie sweetener that’s as sweet as sugar.
The piece was created by Ken Tomita, a musician from Aichi Prefecture who has contributed to works by many famous artists.
The commercial, featuring Ryunosuke Kamiki, leaves a strong impression with scenes of him enjoying making sweets.
And this piano sound—its beautiful tone and down-to-earth feel—it’s hard to describe, but I’m drawn to the arrangement’s unique, almost mysterious atmosphere.
Smile FlowerTUBE

A characteristically positive TUBE song, “Smile Flower.” It was used as the tie-in song for Ajinomoto’s “Knorr Cup Soup” commercial that aired starting in May 2019.
The up-tempo melody definitely feels quintessentially TUBE.
The lyrics convey a gentleness mingled with passion, and they also make you feel the passage of time for TUBE themselves, which is quietly moving.
When you’re feeling like you’ve been left behind or about to lose heart, listening to it can give you a lot of energy—drawing on TUBE’s own life experience—so I highly recommend it.
Original songTakagi Masakatsu

A commercial song with sparkling piano sounds that feel like sunlight.
Used in the Pure Select Mayonnaise “Freshly Picked” edition, the piece was composed by Masakatsu Takagi, also known for scoring the animated film Wolf Children.
Its charm lies in a tone that’s somehow nostalgic yet fresh.
Even on a first listen, a sense of wistfulness begins to grow in your heart.
It’s a work that makes you want to visit somewhere rich in nature, take a deep breath, and spend a long, unhurried day.
Ajinomoto commercial songs. Popular commercial songs (11–20)
Every day with youYuuri (fifi leger)
The soft singing voice and upbeat rhythm make you want to clap along.
This track is by Yuuri, also known as fifi leger, a musician based in Tokyo.
It’s a commercial song that warmly wraps the visuals of the “Eat, Sleep, Exercise” segment.
Its catchy sound, with a touch of smooth jazz, is especially appealing.
A happy feeling wells up from deep inside.
Don’t you feel like great music alone can help your body find its balance?
A song that makes you want to eatNAGANO MEI

Popular actress Mei Nagano, who’s in high demand for dramas, movies, and commercials, takes on the role of a singer in Knorr’s cup soup ad “Morning Mug: The Song That Makes You Want to Eat – Corn & Tomato”! By weaving onomatopoeic words like “toro-toro” (silky) and “juwa” (juicy) into the lyrics, it conveys how delicious the cup soup is, making it sound incredibly appetizing.
The tune is poppy and playful, so kids will probably find themselves craving it too! And the final line of the song, which doesn’t actually use words that describe the soup’s tastiness, is a little bit funny!
Under the banner of the double-headed eagleFurantsu Wāgunā

This is the piece featured in the “Pea Shoot Fluffy Egg Soup” spot for Whole Chicken Bone Broth.
It’s a signature work by the Austrian composer Franz Wagner.
In Japan, it’s often used as a march, so some of you might recognize it apart from its use in the commercial.
Its powerful tone gives you a refreshing, exhilarating feeling—like, “Let’s do this!” That’s the kind of energy it radiates.
“Under the Double Eagle,” as it’s called, matched perfectly with the footage of Naomi Watanabe enjoying the soup so deliciously.
The Water Is Wide

You can feel the warmth of having the whole family together from the tone of the music.
In the commercial featuring Shun Oguri, Ryunosuke Kamiki, and Hana Sugisaki for Hondashi, titled “Our Hearty Miso Soup,” an arrangement of the Scottish folk song “The Water Is Wide,” also known by titles such as “Waly, Waly” and “The Banks of the Wide River,” is used as the CM song.
It has a pleasant finish that makes you want to sway your shoulders to the rhythm.
Somehow, it even makes you feel hungry.
