Ajinomoto commercial songs: Popular commercial tunes (41–50)
I’m not in love.10cc

Did you know that a classic song by 10cc is used in an Ajinomoto commercial? Known for its dreamy sound, this track was released in May 1975 and became a global hit, reaching No.
1 on the UK Singles Chart.
Its production employed innovative techniques, including 16 layers of overdubs to create the effect of a 48-voice choir.
The song has also appeared in films such as Bridget Jones’s Diary and Guardians of the Galaxy.
It’s featured in Ajinomoto’s “Knorr Pota” Rich Potage commercial as well, and its beautiful chorus and ethereal atmosphere make it perfect for those who want to unwind.

Spring on a PostcardAqua Timez

It was used in the Knorr Cup Soup commercial.
I thought the colors looked familiar, and it turns out it was influenced by Mr.
Children and Spitz.
It seems to express itself freely and really resonated with young people.
I think it’s a pure and likable song.
Oh! SusannaBONNY JACKS

It’s a commercial for “Cook Do.” They say it’s a song that people who dreamed of striking it rich during the Gold Rush loved to sing on their journeys.
Because it’s about a forward-looking journey, it really brings out a bright and cheerful feeling.
I feel like I remembered it more by the melody than by the lyrics.
ChimesHudson Mohawke

It was used for “Amino Vital.” He is apparently a club DJ, musician, and producer.
The track has a classical feel, a pleasant sense of rhythm, and occasional bursts of intensity.
It’s a mysterious kind of piece, and its phrases linger in your ears.
I’ve heard it was also used in an Apple commercial.
The Promised MorningPorno Graffitti

This is the song used in the “Knorr Cup Soup” commercial.
It charmingly captures the closeness of two people greeting the morning together.
It was included on the best album Joker.
The album title doesn’t really connect with the image of this song, but the singer’s usual convincing delivery makes it somehow intriguing.
Be kind to othersTHE BLUE HEARTS

It was used in Ajinomoto’s corporate commercial “Ganbare Nippon no Karada.” I was surprised to learn it was something The Blue Hearts released before their major-label debut.
The song and performance are, of course, full of energy, and the lyrics carry an encouraging, unpretentious message that really lifts your spirits.
If I’m wrapped in kindnesscossami

It’s a commercial for ‘Pal Sweet.’ I thought the singing sounded familiar, and it turns out it’s a cover of a Yumi Matsutoya song.
This was my first time learning about the artist cossami.
They’re a trio of women who are getting attention from various musicians and writers.
There’s something stylishly appealing about them.
