Kao Biore commercial songs: From popular tie-in tracks to original songs (21–30)
Kiss Kiss KissBENI

A medium-tempo R&B track by BENI released in 2009.
The calm, soothing melody and BENI’s sweet vocals make it a truly pleasant listen.
It was also featured as the song for Kao Biore’s “BODY DELI” commercial.
Back then, I was struck by the curious mix of a fleeting, delicate feel and a fluttering excitement.
It’s a song that captures the thrill of a budding romance and those sweet-and-sour emotions—perfect as BGM for bath time and a great pick for spring, too!
Shinin’ ~Rainbow-Colored Rhythm~MISIA

This is the Biore facial wash commercial by Kao, titled “Aseranai Asa” (An Unhurried Morning), featuring model Satoko Koizumi.
In the dry season, we tend to panic about moisturizing right after washing our face, but this ad conveys that it’s okay—there’s time to spare in the morning.
Koizumi’s clear, luminous presence adds to the charm, making it a lovely commercial.
The CM song is MISIA’s digital-only single from 2005, “SHININ’ ~Nijiiro no Rhythm~.” MISIA’s expansive vocals perfectly match the refreshing morning vibe of the spot.
Sign of Lovesupittsu

This song used in Kao’s Bioré web commercial, Spitz’s “Ai no Shirushi,” was originally released in 1998 as PUFFY’s sixth single.
Although many people strongly associate the song with PUFFY’s performance, it was written and composed by Spitz’s Masamune Kusano, and his self-cover version was featured as the CM song.
It’s a pop yet laid-back track, and you can’t help but think it’s just like Kusano to make a male vocal sound this cute.
75% LoverYagi Saori

Here is the Kao Biore facial cleanser commercial featuring Saori Yagi.
Saori Yagi has appeared in the Kao Biore commercial series since 1986.
The song is “75% no Koibito” (“75% Lover”), sung by Yagi herself and released in 1987.
This commercial series marked her acting debut and became a stepping stone to numerous TV dramas and films—her breakout work, so to speak.
Facial cleanser commercials have always maintained a timeless freshness, no matter how many years pass.
It’s a wonderful commercial and song that showcase the cutting edge of the 1980s.
Little ChanceNishida Hikaru

This was the third single, released in 1988.
It was also tied in with Biore Facial Foam, but with its relaxed rhythm it has a different, sultrier charm than “Natural Summer days.” It evokes the mood of a mature romance.
The lyrics were written by Chinfa Kan, who has worked on many idol pop songs and with artists like KinKi Kids and BoA, and is still active today.
The record’s jacket photo is very stylish—be sure to look it up.
Natural Summer DaysNishida Hikaru

Hikaru Nishida, who was active mainly as an idol singer and actress from the late ’80s to the ’90s.
This song was also used as the image song for Biore Facial Foam.
The commercial featuring Hikaru Nishida herself washing her face is wonderfully refreshing—and the sound is refreshing too! The lyrics portray a bittersweet summer romance that perfectly fits a Biore ad.
Above all, Nishida’s clarity gives you such a clean, pure feeling! The composition is by Koji Makaino, who created many songs for Biore commercials.
Give Me ParadiseNishino Taeko

“Give Me Paradise” was the second single and was used as the image song for Kao Biore Facial Wash.
This track features Taeko Nishino’s alluring vocals, which are wonderful.
Its sparkling sound creates a memorable, luxurious atmosphere.
It may feel like the opposite of a facial wash’s image, but Nishino’s cute charm must have balanced it out.
The more you listen, the more addictive it becomes.
It delivers a lightning-like jolt along with a refreshing sensation.
