My Way (cover)Takehara Pisutoru

There aren’t many musicians who can create songs that resonate so deeply with just an acoustic guitar and vocals.
This is a bold Japanese-language cover of a Frank Sinatra classic.
The song was chosen for a commercial featuring a street-side vending machine.
The ad was released exclusively on the web in April 2019.
It was well received and remains one of the series’ most popular installments.
What a Fool BelievesThe Doobie Brothers

In Suntory Craft Boss’s “Alien Jones: Rehearsal Room” commercial, featuring the familiar Alien Jones from Georgia’s ads, an all-star cast appears, including Koji Yakusho, Masato Sakai, and Hana Sugisaki.
The song used is The Doobie Brothers’ “What a Fool Believes,” co-written by The Doobie Brothers’ Michael McDonald and musician Kenny Loggins.
It was first released on Loggins’s solo album, then performed by The Doobie Brothers and went on to win a Grammy Award.
Its stylish, laid-back tempo makes it a perfect BGM choice for a coffee break!
SHAKESMAP

In this commercial from the 2013 “Alien Jones Earth Exploration Series,” members of SMAP, who were active at the time, appeared as themselves and drew a lot of attention.
Two SMAP songs were used as the CM songs, and in the latter half’s concert encore, the classic “SHAKE” was featured.
PromenadeGeorge Gershwin

In one of the popular CRAFT BOSS commercials starring Tommy Lee Jones, the “Alien Jones: Conference Room” edition, George Gershwin’s 1937 composition Promenade is used.
It plays in the scene where Ryunosuke Kamiki says to the meeting attendees, “How about changing your assumptions?” and offers tea instead of coffee.
The light, charming melody perfectly matches the bright tone of the commercial.
Until today and from tomorrowyoshida takurou

The cast includes Tommy Lee Jones, Masatoshi Nagase, and Masataka Kubota.
“From Today and Into Tomorrow” is Takuro Yoshida’s third single, released in July 1971.
It was also used as an insert song in the animated film Crayon Shin-chan: The Adult Empire Strikes Back.

Palm BeachMichel Magne

This is the song that was used in Suntory’s BOSS Unsweetened Black TV commercial.
It originally comes from a 1963 French film with the same title, “Mélodie en sous-sol” (often known in English as Any Number Can Win), and is its theme song.
The movie was a worldwide hit at the time, thanks to the co-starring of Alain Delon and Jean Gabin—both global screen superstars.
As an image for sipping a drink with a nihilistic smirk, reminiscing about the days when the cool, slightly roguish older guy was still young, there may be no song that fits better than this one.
Darren from the film ‘City of Light’Michael Laurence Nyman

This commercial from the Alien Jones series aired in 2014.
The ad’s theme is television, and it features Alien Jones doing home renovations and accidentally destroying a TV antenna.
In the latter half of the commercial, Tamori also appears, which became a talking point.
The background music uses the track “Darren” from the soundtrack of the film “All or Nothing” (Japanese title: “Hikari no Machi”).
