Mercedes-Benz (1–10)
My GirlStevie Wonder

The commercial for “The new GLB” portrays a father and daughter’s dreams brought to life by a Mercedes-Benz.
The commercial’s song that colors their wonderful relationship is Stevie Wonder’s “My Girl.” Originally by the American R&B group The Temptations, this track—featured on the album “My Cherie Amour,” titled in Japanese as “愛するあの娘に”—has been covered by many artists besides Stevie Wonder.
Its lyrics, which depict the pure feelings of first love inspired by meeting a special girl, gently warm the heart.

I Wish I Was A…NOISY

This song, “I Wish I Was A…,” was released in 2020 by the three-piece band Noisy, formed in the UK.
It was featured in the BMW X Range “There’s an X for That” commercial.
At the time, they were still very much a fledgling band, so it seems it was an exceptionally big break for them.
Although they’re a band, they aren’t all about straight rock—their distinctive style incorporates hip-hop and drum’n’bass, showcasing a decidedly modern sensibility.
This track pairs a naturally body-moving beat with breezy rap, and the irresistibly catchy melody in the chorus is truly impressive.
VanishingBOOM BOOM SATELLITES

This is a commercial promoting BMW’s clean diesel, highlighting its excellent fuel economy, the feel of its acceleration, and solid power.
Alongside users’ testimonials, the footage of the car speeding along conveys a fresh atmosphere and a strong sense of comfort.
The song that further emphasizes the powerful driving portrayed in the visuals is BOOM BOOM SATELLITES’ “Vanishing.” The vocals, which feel as if they’re reaching far into the distance, are supported by a strong rhythm, evoking a sense of hope moving toward the future.
babylonMAN WITH A MISSION

Now boasting such a high level of musicality that it feels almost gauche to talk about their looks or concept, the five-piece rock band MAN WITH A MISSION has earned popularity both in Japan and abroad.
This song, selected as the commercial theme for BMW’s 4 Series Gran Coupe, was created to evoke the climax of the band’s first concept album.
Structured as a three-part suite, it’s intricate yet perfectly balanced—no matter which section you hear, you can tell it’s unmistakably MAN WITH A MISSION.
I’m AliveDon Fardon

That quintessentially ’60s, psychedelic, sound-driven garage soul is always so cool and stylish whenever you hear it.
The very choice to use a track like this for a BMW 8 Series commercial—despite it being a sports coupe that prioritizes athleticism and performance while also embodying a luxurious elegance—is delightfully savvy.
Originally, it was a song by American R&B singer Johnny Thunder, active in the ’60s, and it was covered by British pop singer Don Fardon and released in 1969.
Highly recommended for fans of rare groove!
