[For Seniors] Easy Construction Paper Crafts You Can Make (41–50)
Simple and cute card you can make just by folding

How about a birthday card that reveals a message when you open it? Take a piece of drawing paper or cardstock for the card base, and fold up the lower part so that the upper part remains visible.
With it folded, draw an illustration so that the picture on the top and the folded-up section connect seamlessly.
Write your message on the section that opens, and add color with colored pencils, etc.
When opened, the message appears—your “cute hidden birthday card” is complete.
Try adding your own touch with adorable illustrations of a bear, cat, rabbit, and more.
Fill any empty spaces with flowers or hearts to create an even livelier card.
Sakura wreath

Starting around late March, we begin to hear more reports that cherry blossoms have started to bloom.
Some older adults may learn about the blossoms blooming through TV or newspapers.
How about enjoying spring a little early with a cute cherry blossom wreath? Using construction paper, we’ll make cherry blossoms with five petals.
By adding valley and mountain folds to the petals to create creases, the flowers will take on a three-dimensional look.
Attach stamens made from yellow construction paper to complete the cherry blossoms.
Then glue the blossoms onto a construction paper wreath base.
Besides a wreath, we also recommend sticking them on a calendar or on the wall.
How about brightening up your crafts or your room with cherry blossoms?
Three-dimensional cherry blossom paper flower

Using colored construction paper or TANT paper to make three-dimensional cherry blossoms can be tricky, right? For anyone who finds that difficult, try making cherry blossoms with a craft punch.
With a craft punch, you can create 3D blossoms very easily.
After punching out the cherry blossom shapes, start adding creases.
Making these creases is the key to creating dimensional flowers! Make small cuts between the petals, then use a stylus or a pencil to gently curl the petals.
Press down the center, attach beads, and your cherry blossom is complete.
They look lovely when added to message cards or colored paper.
Give it a try!
A running girl

Events like sports days feature running competitions such as relays and sprints.
When looking at a wall decoration of a girl running, some older adults might be reminded of their own childhood or their children’s sports days.
Try creating a running figure using construction paper or origami.
As you make it, the cute image of a running girl might spark lively conversations and fond memories of sports days among older adults.
It could be fun to give the running girl different expressions, like a big smile or a look of determined effort.
Please feel free to use this as inspiration.
Easy-to-make quilling

This is an easy paper quilling method that anyone can try, using strips of colored paper cut into long, narrow pieces about 5 mm wide.
Basically, wrap the strip around a bamboo skewer, then remove it and make lots of parts! You can use them tightly wound, loosen them and shape them as you like—the creative freedom is part of the fun.
Since you’ll attach the pieces to a backing at the end, work while imagining the design you want in advance.
Once you’ve mastered the basics, why not try various shapes like teardrops and hearts?
In conclusion
We introduced an easy craft activity you can make using construction paper.
What did you think? There are many chances to use paper materials like construction paper in crafts.
Construction paper is thick, so its durability and resistance to breaking are appealing.
Folding construction paper requires a bit of strength, so it’s also recommended for hand rehabilitation.
I hope you complete a wonderful creation!
