Lovely Play & Recreation

Sports that everyone can enjoy regardless of age. Including Yuru Sports.

We’d like to introduce some recreational sports that are perfect for events and gatherings with a wide range of ages, from children to seniors!

When you think of sports, baseball or soccer might come to mind first, but if there are differences in age, physique, or experience, it can be hard for everyone to enjoy them together.

So this time, we’ve gathered recreational sports that everyone can enjoy equally and get excited about!

Some can be played indoors, like in a gym, so if you’re thinking, “I want to play with lots of people of different backgrounds,” be sure to use this as a reference!

A sport everyone can enjoy regardless of age. Including ‘Yuru Sports’ (31–40)

Prize Dash

Prize Dash: Winning Run [Sports Day / Recreation]
Prize Dash

This “Prize-Dash Winning Run” is a very simple yet exciting recreation game.

All you need are envelope-like slips listing prizes and the prizes themselves.

At the signal of “Ready, go!”, everyone dashes and grabs one envelope.

You get the prize written on the envelope you pick.

Hula hoop down

[Sports Recreation] Hula Hoop Down — From Failure to Success
Hula hoop down

Hula Hoop Down may seem like a very simple game: everyone holds a hula hoop with their index fingers and lowers it to the floor.

But it’s surprisingly difficult.

If even one person’s finger comes off the hoop, you’re out and have to start again from the initial position.

You try to lower the hoop slowly, but someone always gets impatient and lifts a finger.

It’s a great recreational activity for boosting teamwork.

Giant ball rolling relay

With a big balloon, you can enjoy a variety of recreational activities.

This “Giant Ball Rolling Costume Relay” is one of them.

Using the costume as a substitute for a baton is unique, too.

It takes time to put on and take off, and that’s part of what makes the game fun.

Hand-Holding Tag

Choose three to four players to be “it.” Just like in a regular game of tag, the taggers touch the other players.

Any player who is tagged joins hands with the taggers and helps chase the remaining players.

Repeat this until only one player is left; that player is the winner.

As the chain of taggers grows, both the chasers and those being chased will feel the excitement—making it a thrilling game for everyone.

Skip tag

Tag, a game everyone knows from little kids to adults.

Instead of running, let’s play it by skipping—that’s “Skip Tag.” Tag is popular no matter how many players you have, and you can play it outdoors or in a gym at any time.

The rules are very simple: choose one person to be “it,” who chases the others by skipping; the others also escape by skipping.

When “it” manages to touch someone, they switch roles.

Sometimes players get so caught up in chasing or escaping that they start running.

If that happens, pause the game and remind everyone to play by skipping.
