Popular Female Vocal Bands [2026] (91–100)
Psychedelic LoverMōmō Rurugyaban

MOWMOWLULLGABAN has created unique music unlike anything else, as if freely soaring over a foundation of funky melodies.
Their distinctiveness has gotten many people hooked.
The vibe shifts depending on whether the male vocalist, Gary Bitché, is taking the lead or the female vocalist, Yukka, is front and center.
Especially when Yukka is the main vocalist, the songs have a soft, floaty finish.
Their music makes me feel excited, like it might draw out parts of myself I haven’t discovered yet.
UtopiaAldious

A four-member girls’ band, Aldious, who don glamorous dresses in the “agejo” style, perform music far more aggressive than their beautiful appearance would suggest.
The band was formed in 2008 by guitarist Yoshi and then-vocalist Rami.
Unusually for Japanese girl bands, they are an ultra-fast melodic speed metal group.
Their dazzling, hard-hitting live performances—complete with hair-whipping headbanging—are a must-see!
Cherry on the beakEGO-WRAPPIN’

EGO-WRAPPIN’ is a musical duo formed in Osaka.
They are active not only in Japan but also in Europe and Asia.
Building on a foundation of jazz and incorporating elements like Showa-era pop, they have crafted a distinctive sound and earned a reputation for excellence.
Vocalist Yoshie Nakano’s sultry voice is addictive and vividly brings their songs’ worlds to life.
Their signature tracks include Kuchibashi ni Cherry, featured here, as well as Shikisai no Blues, both of which let you fully immerse yourself in the EGO-WRAPPIN’ universe.
Stand Up and Scream Itfaith

FAITH is a band formed by a mixed-gender lineup that includes both Japanese and half-Japanese members.
Their appeal lies in how each member draws on their own background and skillfully channels those influences into the band’s unique sound.
Their songs incorporate elements from various genres—Western pop, Western rock, and West Coast pop-punk—and no matter what you listen to, the tracks feel extremely pleasant, ranging from danceable numbers to ones with a bright, breezy freshness.
If you like Western music, even if you don’t usually listen to rock, you’ll find their tunes easy to get into.
NYBUGY CRAXONE

A four-piece rock band formed in Sapporo, Hokkaido in 1997, whose re-major debut in 2017 also made waves.
While their early trademark was a highly aggressive rock sound, they gradually broadened their musical range, and at home they’ve long been beloved as a “Dosanko band” and a Sapporo-born “Satsu-ban.” Their nostalgic rock sound and the vocals of singer-guitarist Yukiko Suzuki—at once cute and sultry—are enough to get any rock fan’s pulse racing.
With a retro-meets-modern balance executed to perfection, they’re a female-fronted band whose future success is highly anticipated.
To you who taught me loveKuaifu

A three-piece band from Aichi Prefecture that calls themselves an “absolute, keys-driven dramatic pop band,” born from a lineup of piano/vocals, bass, and drums that yields a sound both poppy and delightfully eccentric.
The members’ differing tastes give rise to unconventional songs featuring key changes and odd time signatures, and the high-level vocals of Ayano Mori (female) shape a distinctive sonic identity.
The contrast between catchy melodies and virtuosic playing creates an impact that grabs listeners of any stripe.
Their gentle vocal timbre beautifully neutralizes the chaotic world-building—highly recommended for fans of progressive rock.
Doubt first.itashimoku

Formed in 2019 by three high school students, Hachūrui-kei rock band Itashimoku is a three-piece with standout appeal, living up to their striking tagline and the reptilian name they carry.
Vocalist Chiagi Shion delivers a powerful, rock-driven voice that’s seriously cool.
In 2022, they rode a wave of momentum by completing their first nationwide tour, covering 24 locations.
In 2023, they released their third album, “Genetic-Level NO!!!,” and embarked on their second national tour.
They’re a band to watch, so be sure to catch them live!
