Only oneAoba Ichiko

This commercial portrays the scene of Tami-chan, played by Ikoi Hayase, moving to Tokyo, while also depicting the warmth of the people seeing her off.
Although her parents oppose it, she decides to move to Tokyo; during the send-off, she notices that the Suica card she was given has been preloaded, and she feels their warmth.
That human kindness is further emphasized by Ichiko Aoba’s performance of “Hitotsu Dake.” The blend of gentle piano tones and a fragile-sounding vocal is striking, and the song conveys, with heartfelt sincerity, the importance of human connection.
A Fine Day to Set Out – WestwardOnitsuka Chihiro

It was released in 2003 as Chihiro Onitsuka’s ninth single.
It is a cover of Momoe Yamaguchi’s signature song “Ii Hi Tabidachi,” made possible by a request from the song’s lyricist and composer, Shinji Tanimura, who was taken by Onitsuka’s voice.
The track was used as the campaign song for JR West’s “That’s in the West: DISCOVER WEST.”
UnstoppableJorge Gonzalez, Jenny
This track features a striking illustration of a JR East Shinkansen racing by.
It’s an original piece composed by Jorge González and Johnny, who have worked on many commercial jingles.
Packed with the driving beat of a Western rock band, the song is quite wild, and the commercial tied in with the Tokyo 2020 Olympics is made even cooler as a result.
you’re myPablo Haiku

This is the 2025 version of JR East’s annual ski trip campaign, JR SKISKI.
This time, Yuzu Aoki and Natsuki Deguchi appear, and the ad shows them enjoying their first time snowboarding.
Most of the scenes feature the group having fun together, but there’s a fleeting moment when Aoki and Deguchi lock eyes that really makes your heart skip a beat.
The BGM is “you’re my” by the three-piece band Pablo Haiku, an upbeat, refreshing track written specifically for this commercial.
Kyushu, forever and beyondDREAMS COME TRUE

This is a song that DREAMS COME TRUE released in 2015 as a digital-only single.
It was written as a campaign song for the “DREAMS COME TRUE × Kyushu Shinkansen” project, adding sparkle to the opening of the Kyushu Shinkansen.
The lyrics and music were created by Miwa Yoshida.
Winter,againGLAY

GLAY’s “Winter, again” was released in 1999 as their 16th single, and it’s a signature song for the band that’s cherished as a winter classic.
Its structure is striking, moving from a poignant mood that evokes the chill of winter to a gradual build in intensity toward the chorus, conveying a sense of strength to get through the season.
The song was used in JR East’s “JR SKI SKI” commercials, which was one of the factors that helped it become a well-known winter staple.
Because it overlaps so well with the feelings of winter’s cold and the sparkle of snow, it vividly highlights the excitement of heading into snowy landscapes.
beyond; the distance; the other side; yonderyuzu

The song used in JR West’s Sanyo–Kyushu Shinkansen through-service commercial (Mizuho/Sakura), Kumamoto & Kagoshima edition, is Yuzu’s grand medium-tempo ballad “Kanata.” It’s included on their 2011 album “2-NI-.” The chorus that expands out from the spoken, conversational parts leaves a strong impression.
Yuzu are also known for large-scale songs like this one, which seem to pair perfectly with sweeping vistas and majestic natural scenery.
It’s a song that resonates with feelings that grow stronger over distance—love for one’s hometown, and the desire to go see the people you miss.
It’s also a perfect match for the Shinkansen, which carries so many people’s feelings as it runs.
