Garland made with design paper

Garland made with design paper

Let’s make a stylish garland using design paper! Design paper is translucent origami paper that you can buy at 100-yen shops.

Using this origami, make eight fence-like strips.

Fold two of them in half, then open them and glue them together in a cross shape along the crease.

Glue one strip to the left side vertically and one to the bottom horizontally, then set the piece at a diagonal.

Apply glue to the edge of the origami, flip it over, and keep gluing it down.

Make another set just like this, layer the two together, and glue to finish.

Finally, punch holes and hang it with clips, or use fishing line to suspend it as a chic decoration!

Hot air balloon made with tissue paper

How about making a hot air balloon wall display with stylish, pastel colors? For this, cut white construction paper into balloon shapes, then place torn pieces of tissue paper on top.

Feel free to create any sizes and shapes you like! Once arranged, mist the tissue paper with water.

Kids will enjoy this step, too.

Let it dry as is, and when it’s completely dry, gently peel off the tissue paper.

The colors from the tissue paper will softly seep into the white paper, giving it a very chic finish.

After that, add a basket to complete the balloon! It would also look great with the children’s photos or portraits attached.

Why not decorate the room with your children’s favorite characters? You can use characters from anime or games as materials, or—if characters aren’t allowed at your school—use animals or picture books they love instead! Once you’ve chosen the materials, print them out on a computer.

Also print one reversed copy so you can glue the front and back together.

Laminate the finished pieces and cut them out, then punch holes so you can attach strings.

Try decorating them like a mobile, using branches the children found in the yard or during outdoor activities.

Swaying gently in the pleasant spring breeze, they’ll look absolutely lovely.

Here’s an idea to stylishly decorate your graduation ceremony venue: a dynamic rainbow wall made from children’s handprints.

Prepare a large sheet of poster paper or fabric, and have the children stamp their handprints in rainbow colors.

You can stamp directly, but if that’s difficult for infants, you can stamp their hands on separate construction paper, cut them out, and paste them on.

You can also customize endlessly—sing rainbow songs to match the wall, or display photos of the graduating children on the rainbow.

Give it a try for your graduation ceremony wall!

Would you like to make a twirling decoration out of origami? Take one sheet of origami paper and fold it into an accordion, then cut it into six fence-like strips.

Stack the six strips and fold up the bottom slightly.

Fold the top down at an angle to make a crease in a triangular shape.

The lengths don’t need to be exact.

Once all six pieces are the same shape, apply glue to the triangular part and layer another strip on top.

Repeat this process to glue them all together.

After gluing the first and last strips together, twist each strip and attach it to the folded bottom section to finish! If you add thread or fishing line and hang it as a mobile, it will spin in the breeze and look adorable!

Ribbon made from colored construction paper

3D Ribbon How-To: Entrance and Graduation Ceremonies, Mural Making (Nursery/Kindergarten)
Ribbon made from colored construction paper

Let’s make 3D ribbons out of construction paper to stylishly decorate the preschool graduation venue.

You’ll need just three materials: colored construction paper, scissors, and a stapler.

First, fold the paper into thirds.

Cut off one strip, then cut it lengthwise down the middle to make two long pieces.

From the remaining paper, cut horizontally to make one small piece, and then cut along the fold lines to make two wide pieces.

To assemble: gently fold the two wide pieces to form the bow loops, trim them with scissors to shape the ribbon, and staple them together.

Wrap the short piece around the center, trim any excess, and staple it.

Finally, trim the ends of the long pieces like a real ribbon and staple them to the bow body.

You’re done! Simple and cute.

How to make a balloon tower

How to make a balloon tower

Balloon towers are recommended when you want to make the venue entrance look festive.

In this idea, you tie inflated balloons in pairs, connect the pairs, twist the connected sections, and secure them to a banner flag stand.

We used 32 balloons, but please adjust the number to fit the size of your stand.

If you don’t have a banner flag stand, you can substitute one by fixing a tension rod in place with 2-liter water-filled bottles.

To make it even more luxurious, add a star-shaped decorative balloon on top and fill the gaps between balloons with floral decorations.
