Ribbon made from colored construction paper

Let’s make 3D ribbons out of construction paper to stylishly decorate the preschool graduation venue.
You’ll need just three materials: colored construction paper, scissors, and a stapler.
First, fold the paper into thirds.
Cut off one strip, then cut it lengthwise down the middle to make two long pieces.
From the remaining paper, cut horizontally to make one small piece, and then cut along the fold lines to make two wide pieces.
To assemble: gently fold the two wide pieces to form the bow loops, trim them with scissors to shape the ribbon, and staple them together.
Wrap the short piece around the center, trim any excess, and staple it.
Finally, trim the ends of the long pieces like a real ribbon and staple them to the bow body.
You’re done! Simple and cute.
paper pom-pomsNEW!

Fluffy and cute! Let me show you how to make paper pom-poms.
That said, the steps are the same as regular paper pom-poms: accordion-fold, tie the center with a string, and open the tissue layers one by one.
The key points are to stack eight sheets of tissue paper cut in half and make fine accordion folds about 7–8 mm wide, and when lifting each layer, raise it firmly from the base.
Keeping these two tips in mind will give you dense, carnation-like pom-poms!
Garland made with paper stripsNEW!

Let’s celebrate the children’s new beginnings with a cherry blossom garland! You’ll need construction paper strips measuring 30 cm × 2 cm and 20 cm × 2 cm.
First, accordion-fold both strips with a width of 5 cm per fold.
Then, change the mountain folds to valley folds and tuck them inward by about 0.5 cm.
Next, use a stapler to connect the ends of the two pieces: staple both ends 1 cm up from the bottom.
Make sure the sections you just folded into valleys gather toward the center when you join them.
Staple the remaining three mountain-fold sections at the same position, and also staple just below the creases at the five points where the mountain folds gather in the center.
Finally, flip the paper over to reverse the front and back, and your cherry blossom is complete! Make several and string them on a cord to finish the garland.
Mini bouquet of tulipsNEW!
Let’s make colorful tulips using origami.
First, fold the paper into a “zabuton” base, then fold it into a triangle twice.
Next, squash the pocketed part into a square, and shape it into a tulip by folding the left and right corners.
Once the tulip is formed, slightly cut the bottom corner, insert a rolled stem, and attach leaves to finish.
Wrap each tulip individually, then arrange them together on the wall as a bouquet.
If you make them easy to remove, you can give them to the children as gifts at the end of the graduation ceremony.
Balloon decorations using balloons

A playful decoration that treats a balloon like a hot-air balloon.
First, cut a piece of soft wire to 35 cm, bend it into a circle, and join the ends with clear tape.
Next, prepare four 15 cm white strings, tie them to the wire ring, and trim them to the same length.
Apply glue to four spots on the inside of a box-shaped ornament, and attach the ends of the four strings.
While the glue dries, inflate a balloon, tie the neck, and tape it to fishing line to hang from the ceiling.
Slip the wire ring over the lower part of the balloon and secure it with tape to complete the hot-air-balloon-style decoration!

This is a simple flower made by attaching petal pieces to a circular base.
The petal pieces are made using a template.
The template is shaped like a single petal, but make sure the angle at the base matches the angle you get when you fold the circular base piece in half three times.
Place the template along the fold of a sheet of construction paper folded in half, and cut out eight petals.
Attach these to the circular base to complete the flower! Vary the colors of the construction paper and the size of the petals to create a range of designs.
Using double-sided colored construction paper can make it look even more festive!

Cut a piece of cardboard into a square and carve out a stencil on the inside that shows only the tree trunk.
Then attach adhesive tape and place real cherry blossom petals on the sticky surface to create a cherry tree.
It will look like you’ve captured a spring landscape in a picture frame, making it perfect for decorating the wall at a kindergarten graduation ceremony.
If there’s a chance to take a walk with the children before graduation, why not pick up the petals that have fallen on the ground together and make it? It will surely become a wonderful memory.
