Quizzes and riddles for toddlers and kids. Perfect for early learning! (11–20)
Fruit Quiz

If you’re getting bored with the quizzes on video sites, creating your own questions can be fun.
The fruits kids know might actually be fewer than you think.
With a “Do you know this?” quiz, try introducing fruits that aren’t so familiar to them—like papaya, longan, or sugar apple—in a quiz format.
Just asking “What do you think this fruit is called?” will get kids super excited.
To make it feel like an event, it’s also a great idea to prepare fruits they don’t usually see, such as starfruit or durian.
Kids will be fascinated by fruits they’ve never even touched.
Rather than simply asking quiz questions, if you frame it as “learning more about fruits,” they may naturally pick up new knowledge.
Odd one out quiz

How about having some fun with an odd-one-out quiz? You can choose any theme for the questions, but using things familiar to children will help them grasp the content quickly.
For example, find the odd one out among police car, panda, zebra, and fire engine, or among rhinoceros, lion, tiger, and leopard.
It’s a quiz that develops the ability to think independently and to apply knowledge.
It may be a bit difficult for preschoolers, but try enjoying it while adults give hints.
Give it a try while communicating kindly and cooperatively.
Inspiration Quiz

This is a quiz that tests your instant flash of insight! From symbols, illustrations, or words that seem meaningless at first glance, you find commonalities or patterns to arrive at the answer.
To solve these “inspiration quizzes,” general knowledge is all you need.
Adults, with their wealth of information, often rely on facts and logic rather than flashes of insight, which can actually make the puzzles harder for them to solve.
In that sense, children—who tend to make intuitive judgments—may have the advantage.
It’s a fun quiz that trains kids’ quick, spontaneous thinking!
Doraemon Quiz

Doraemon is a beloved, nationally famous anime enjoyed by people of all ages.
It began airing in 1979 and has been cherished by many ever since.
As a long-running show, it’s full of all kinds of episodes and tidbits—some not prominently featured in the anime but still important to fans.
The Doraemon Quiz gathers everything from questions everyone who’s seen the show should know to hidden episodes that make you exclaim, “Wait, really?” It would be even more fun to play together with kids who love Doraemon!
Intro Quiz (Classic TV Anime)

The hugely popular show “Quiz Doremifadon!” aired for many years starting in 1976.
While the hosts and production style have changed, the show’s signature “intro quiz” has been carried on through the Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa eras.
Nowadays it’s not unusual for hit anime to feature theme songs by popular artists, and many smash hits actually originate from anime-related tracks.
How about enjoying an intro quiz using only anime songs? Kids might keep nailing songs that adults don’t even know.
If you have a large projector, it could be a great party activity too!
Junior Arithmetic Olympiad Quiz

The Math Olympic is held every year for children who love arithmetic.
To make it to the finals, participants must achieve a passing score in the regional trial.
What we present here are past questions from the Math Olympic trial.
Although it’s called math, these aren’t simple calculation problems like addition or subtraction.
Instead, they test your ability to read the problem carefully, think logically, and derive an answer.
So even children who feel weak at calculations can enjoy engaging with math through these quizzes.
Flag Quiz

The “national flag quiz,” where you look at a flag and guess the country’s name, is something that all young children love.
If only all social studies—often a subject many struggle with—were filled with engaging elements like national flags, how much more fun it would be! Once you’ve memorized a set of flags, try arranging the quiz in different ways.
For example: “Which countries have flags consisting of the two colors red and white?” Answers: Japan, Canada, Switzerland.
“Which countries have tricolors?” Answers: France, Italy, the Netherlands, and so on.
The national flag quiz seems perfect for integrated studies time at school, too!
Riddles Thought Up by an Elementary School Student

The riddles introduced here were created by elementary school students.
They’re categorized by difficulty based on correct-answer rates, ranging from easy to hard.
Some of them really make you think, “That’s a perspective only a child would have.” Making riddles requires a lot of thought from the creator, too.
If you take turns presenting your own original riddles, both the answerers and the presenters can get a good mental workout—and have fun! It’s also considerate to prepare a hint when you present a riddle.
Entrance Exam Problems for Highly Competitive Elementary Schools

Elementary school entrance exams are becoming more common year by year.
Have you ever wondered what kinds of questions appear on these tests? The ones introduced here come from highly competitive elementary schools.
Since formal study really begins after children start elementary school, the content on these entrance exams tends to evaluate innate ability, mental flexibility, and creativity.
Even adults may find some of the problems challenging.
This quiz might help you discover children’s hidden talents! Give it a try at least once.
trick question

A trick quiz is the kind that makes you blurt out “Ah!” when you realize the answer.
If you don’t read the question carefully, you may fail to find the answer, or what you thought was correct may reveal contradictions when you reconsider it—so it’s not straightforward.
Even when you’re sure you’re right, you need to pause and think calmly; otherwise, trick quizzes are hard to solve.
That’s why they help you develop the ability to judge things cool-headedly.
They’re especially recommended when you’re bored with ordinary quizzes!
