Let’s use hints to figure out the right answer! Here’s an idea for a “Who am I?” game.
Start the quiz with a rhythmic call-and-response like, “Quiz, quiz!” “What kind of quiz?” Kicking things off to a fun rhythm makes it easy and exciting for everyone to join in.
Narrowing the theme to animals or fish makes it easier to answer and captures children’s interest.
Revealing hints little by little also helps develop their thinking skills.
It’s a great idea that lets kids learn while having fun and deepen their knowledge!

Picture Book Quiz
@homeltd It really gets the kids excited if you do it after the picture book! 😆Childcare#FreelanceNurseryTeacherTemporary custodyTemporary childcareChildcare

One of the times children look forward to is picture book time.
So here’s an idea: a “Picture Book Quiz” that boosts understanding and interest.
After reading a picture book, ask questions like, “Here’s a question: What animals appeared?” to check which characters were in the story, or “What do you think they could have done to avoid fighting?” to invite the children’s own ideas.
Compared to simply reading aloud, this approach is likely to greatly increase their curiosity and engagement with the book.
[Sketchbook Theater] Whose House Is It?
![[Sketchbook Theater] Whose House Is It?](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/wXsl_Wx5S-A/sddefault.jpg)
It’s a quiz where a house is drawn in a sketchbook, and players guess which animal lives there using the hint of a body part visible through the window.
The key is which part of the animal you show in the window: if you show a very distinctive feature, it’s easy; if you hide the key features, it becomes harder—so you can adjust the difficulty.
To make the reveal satisfying, prepare matching shapes by layering paper and cutting both the animal’s silhouette and the answer to the same outline.
You can also create hype with trick questions that could fit multiple animals—like showing a tail—so you can steer players toward wrong answers before revealing the correct one.
[Snip-Snip with Scissors!] Animal Silhouette Quiz
![[Snip-Snip with Scissors!] Animal Silhouette Quiz](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/l9mo_uOni1U/sddefault.jpg)
A series of long, narrow strips of paper are lined up as if animals are trapped in cages, with illustrations hidden behind them.
It’s a quiz where you cut the strips one by one with scissors and try to identify which animal is hiding as quickly as possible.
Choose which strip to cut by focusing on the parts visible through the gaps between the papers to reveal the identity more clearly.
If, instead of a clear illustration, a silhouette is hidden, there are even more elements to think about, making it potentially more enjoyable.
Fun Quiz: The Little Gluttonous Ghost

If you’re unsure what to do for a birthday party performance, how about livening things up with a fun quiz? “The Little Gluttonous Ghost” is a story about a hungry little ghost who opens the fridge and nibbles on their favorite foods.
Show only the silhouettes of the foods in the fridge and let the children guess what they are! This fun quiz combines riddles, a panel theater, and finger play, making it a great way to build a sense of togetherness with the kids.
By preparing lots of different foods, you can keep the children engaged and excited without getting bored!

The quiz where you guess which teacher it is by looking at the eyes of teachers you’re used to seeing sounds like a lot of fun.
Cut a large piece of cloth so only the eye area is visible, and have the children guess which teacher is peeking through.
If they’re unsure, it might help to give hints, like having the teacher say something, mentioning the color of their clothes, or whether their hair is long or short.
You could make it even more exciting by having several teachers gather and only show their eyes through gaps in the cloth to raise the difficulty.
Definitely give it a try!
Which one has more?

Let’s compare numbers with illustrations! Here are some ideas for “Which one has more?”—a fun quiz that builds number-comparison skills.
By looking at two illustrations and deciding which has more, children will naturally find it easier to grasp number concepts.
The way to answer is simple and clear—just say, “This one has more!”—so kids can enjoy playing it over and over.
Through the quiz, their concentration and observation skills will also improve.
It’s sure to be a fun first step into learning numbers for children!
