Although he’s a rapper, Leo Wang delivers a wide range of music.
Originally the vocalist of an indie rock band, he dropped out of the prestigious National Taiwan University to pursue music, making him a standout, unconventional artist.
After his solo debut in 2016, his collaboration with 9m88 (Joanne Wang) on “Holiday with You” became a hit online.
In 2019, he became the first rapper to win Best Male Mandarin Singer at Taiwan’s Golden Melody Awards, often called the Taiwanese Grammys.
His music has a relaxed, melodic vibe that makes it easy to listen to even if you don’t usually listen to hip-hop.

Shallow Levée is an indie pop band from Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
Formed in 2016, the four-piece centers on vocalist-guitarist Yi-Ling.

1 was nominated for Best Rock Single at the 7th Golden Indie Music Awards.
Their 2020 debut album, The Village (不完整的村莊), was also nominated for Best Rock Album, earning them significant recognition in the music scene.
They deftly switch between Taiwanese and Mandarin, with an aesthetic rooted in their native southern Taiwan.
Their lyrics sensitively portray social issues and personal emotions, resonating with listeners.
