This is a NEXCO Central Japan commercial depicting a junior high school boy and his parents taking a long drive together.

The ad has a calm, drama-like tone, with the father’s inner monologue reflecting a hint of loneliness as he says that since his son entered adolescence, he’s been spending more time doing things on his own rather than with the family.

However, the mood shifts when the three of them are shown being moved by the view from a service area they stop at along the way, conveying a heartwarming sense of family love.

The background music is “with a little happiness,” created for the commercial and sung by Taiwanese-born singer Eri Liao.
