Memorable Commercials [July 2025] (491–500)
plateauSakanakushon

Kagaya, Akari Kito, and Tomoaki Makino are each shown turning what they love into their work, throwing themselves into it wholeheartedly while wrestling with their own struggles.
In the commercial, you can see that all of them feel eye fatigue as they work.
When they use Sante FX, their eye strain is relieved, and at the same time their eyes come alive, transforming their expressions into something vibrant.
Their earnest commitment to what they love is portrayed as truly cool.
The CM features Sakanaction’s “Plateau” as the background music.
Its lyrics, which depict pressing forward even while struggling, are compelling—so be sure to listen while reading the lyrics.
GOOD TIMIN’Jimmy Jones

This is a Humming commercial featuring Shun Oguri playing a salesperson who has to make rounds outside regardless of the hot season.
It promotes the idea that you won’t smell even if you sweat by putting it to song, and at the end of the ad, Oguri also sings, “Your Humming.” The original song used in this commercial is actually a parody version of “GOOD TIMIN’” by American singer Jimmie Jones.
The song was released in 1960 and was also covered in Japan by Kyu Sakamoto.
Revival of the Four SeasonsAKASAKI

Starting with the tagline “To the trivial days,” this is a Monster Strike commercial that unfolds with one youth scene after another.
You might not bother taking photos of them, but it’s those unremarkable moments that make up most of our youthful memories, isn’t it? I imagine many people watched this ad and found their thoughts drifting back to their own youth.
The background music features AKASAKI’s “Shiki Kaisei.” Its melody and lyrics carry a touch of nostalgia, gripping you deep in your heart.
I’m sure many listeners were instantly captivated the moment the song began playing right at the start of the commercial.
Memorable Commercials [July 2025] (501–510)
Shadows of SummerMrs. GREEN APPLE

This commercial captures scenes of summer as experienced by various people, including Ren Meguro and Ayami Nakajo.
Beaches, parks, fireworks, the walk home from school—one evocative scene after another unfolds, likely tugging at the heartstrings of many viewers.
Enhancing the warm atmosphere of the ad is its BGM, Natsu no Kage (Summer’s Shadow), a song Mrs.
GREEN APPLE wrote specifically for this commercial.
Packed with summer imagery and feelings, it seems poised to become an essential staple among summer songs.
MILLION PLACESXG

This commercial promotes a campaign encouraging people to drink Coca-Cola for a chance to win tickets to Coca-Cola X Fes 2025, presented through the presence of XG.
Not only does it feature footage from the festival, but the scenes of drinking Coke also leave a stylish impression, evoking an exciting sense that something new is beginning.
The song that further emphasizes this stylish atmosphere and rising exhilaration is XG’s “MILLION PLACES.” While it carries a sleek feel with strong beats and rap, the overall tone is calm, and its distinctive sense of weightlessness conveys a genuine warmth.
I want to become the wind.

This is a heartwarming commercial that captures the youthful vibe of high school girls chatting on their way home.
The protagonist, played by Ami Toma, looks a bit down, as if something is bothering her.
Then a friend grabs her cheeks and cheerfully tells her, “Don’t get all gloomy!” In the next cut, the scene shifts to everyone smiling and chatting while drinking Calpis, highlighting the girls’ friendship and the idea that Calpis is always close by during youth.
The background music features the familiar Calpis CM song ‘Kaze ni Naritai.’ In this ad, a choral version is used, and the clear, refreshing vocals match the visuals perfectly.
Come On A My HouseHey! Say! JUMP

In the “Beach House” segment, members of Hey! Say! JUMP are shown cooking and eating curry on the shore.
In the first half of the commercial, they’re seen earnestly chopping vegetables, and many fans no doubt melted at how hard they were trying.
In the latter half, they enjoy the finished curry so deliciously that it makes us hungry just watching.
The BGM features their 2013 single “Come On A My House.” It’s an upbeat, high-energy track that perfectly matches the lively vibe of the commercial.
