UQ mobile UQUEEN “Family Image” VersionHikari Mitsushima, Ryuhei Matsuda

This commercial once again highlights UQ mobile’s support for families through the interaction between UQUEEN, played by Hikari Mitsushima, and her butler, played by Ryuhei Matsuda.
It follows a storyline where they brainstorm ways to address the lack of a “family” image associated with UQ, leading to UQUEEN’s sudden inspiration.
The visuals are comedic, featuring elements like the phrase “more aristocracy than family” and the idea of using a face-in-the-hole panel.
UQ mobile UQUEEN “Friends” VersionHikari Mitsushima, Ryuhei Matsuda

Gachapin and Mukku bring Ponta as a friend to UQUEEN, played by Hikari Mitsushima.
At first sight, UQUEEN simply says, “I like it.” As for what this commercial is about, it’s actually introducing a great value plan—the KomiKomi Plan Value—which includes 35GB per month, 10-minute unlimited calls, and a Ponta Pass.
UQ mobile UQUEEN “Fine Play” VersionHikari Mitsushima, Ryuhei Matsuda

This is a classic UQUEEN series commercial introducing a great new plan that increases your data allowance while keeping the price the same.
In it, Ryuhei Matsuda, carrying a large cake, stumbles, and Hikari Mitsushima makes a brilliant catch as the cake flies through the air.
Combined with Beethoven’s Symphony No.
9 in D minor, Op.
125 as the background music, the commercial ends up feeling quite grand.
Incidentally, this piece is affectionately known as the “Ninth” and is one of the standard works frequently performed at the end of the year.

UQ mobile UQ Parent-Child Support Discount: “Three Years by Your Side” series — ‘Everyone’s Tough Questions’ / ‘Until the Chime Rings’ / ‘Useless Time’ / ‘Three Years in Uniform’

This is a commercial that announces UQ’s Parent-and-Child Support Discount while depicting the everyday lives of high school students.
Four versions of the ad have been released, and each one portrays those unassuming yet irreplaceable moments of daily life.
The visuals are so lovely that just watching them gives you that bittersweet rush of youth, so I really hope not only students but adults will watch them too.
It’s also wonderful how they describe data gigs as the amount of memories.
The BGM features “Kotoba wa Sankaku, Kokoro wa Shikaku,” covered by the virtual singer Kafu.
It’s one of Quruli’s signature songs, with lyrics that invite all kinds of imagined stories.
Be sure to listen while reading the lyrics.
UQ mobile “Megumi no Hito” VersionKyoko Fukada, Mikako Tabe, Mei Nagano

In the commercial titled “Megumi no Hito,” Kyoko Fukada, Mikako Tabe, and Mei Nagano appear as the UQ Three Sisters wearing happi coats.
The song used is “Megumi no Hito,” which shares its title with the CM.
It was released in 1983 as the first single after Rats & Star changed their name from Chanels.
The track has been covered by many artists, including Kumi Koda and The Ventures, and has been loved by multiple generations for many years.
In the CM, however, it’s not Rats & Star or member Masayuki Suzuki singing.
The lyrics also aren’t the same as the original; they’ve been cleverly rewritten to match the content of the commercial.
UQ mobile “Film Shoot” VersionMikako Tabe, Mei Nagano

In the UQ Three Sisters series, the middle and youngest sisters—Mikako Tabe and Mei Nagano—appear in the commercial titled “Film Shoot.” The music used in this ad is “UFO” by Pink Lady, a legendary idol duo representing the Showa era, whose name and sound resemble “UQ mobile.” Released in 1977, the song became Pink Lady’s biggest hit, along with its distinctive dance.
In the commercial, the shout at the beginning of the original track has its lyrics changed to “UQ” to match the company name.
Many people who listened to Pink Lady in real time when the song was first released can probably still perform both the dance and the song perfectly!
UQ mobile ‘Encouragement’ Version

The commercial titled “Encouragement,” featuring Akane Hotta—active as a model and actress—along with Gachapin and Mukku.
The CM song accompanying Gachapin and Mukku’s cute dance is “Nijiiro,” a track Ayaka released in 2014.
Chosen as the theme song for the NHK morning drama Hanako to Anne, starring Yuriko Yoshitaka, it’s a heartwarming piece.
The lyrics suggest that the various events you encounter in the story called your life will color your world as vibrantly as a rainbow.
