Memorable Commercials [2017] (1–10)
Mr.SnowmanE-Girls

It was released in 2014 as E-girls’ 12th single.
The song was used in the UHA Mikakuto “e-ma throat lozenges” commercial featuring E-girls members, and also as the CM song for “Prince Snow Resorts 2014–2015.” It reached No.
2 on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart and has a distinctly feminine feel.
Jet Coaster LoveKARA

It was released in 2011 as KARA’s third single.
The song was used in TBC Group’s “Aesthetic TBC” TV commercials, including “Beauty comes from TBC” and “Let’s go to TBC!”, and it reached No.
1 on the Oricon weekly singles chart.
Because the song was composed with Japanese lyrics in mind from the beginning, there is no Korean version.
The idol-style dance is extremely cute.
Carnival of Flames and ForestsSEKAI NO OWARI

It was released in 2014 as SEKAI NO OWARI’s sixth major-label single.
The song was used in NTT Plala’s “Hikari TV Mirai-kei Entertainment” commercial, and Fukase has said that he based the song’s theme on singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, whom he was dating at the time.
With this song, they won the Excellent Work Award at the 56th Japan Record Awards.
Memorable Commercials [2017] (11–20)
Let’s give it a tryWANIMA

It was released in 2017 as a digital-only single by WANIMA.
The song is a rock arrangement of the well-known children’s tune “Picnic,” and it was featured in the au Santaro series commercial, “Spring Door: Yatte Minyou” version.
It’s gaining attention as an uplifting song that fits perfectly with scenes of taking on various challenges.
Because I met youmiwa

It was released in 2014 as miwa’s 14th single.
The song was used in Shiseido’s “Sea Breeze” campaign, with the theme of being a “cheer song for students dedicated to their club activities.” Featuring a fresh, summery sound, it’s a pop track that lets fans and the artist get excited together as one.
I want to keep smiling.ikimonogakari

It was released in 2011 as Ikimono-gakari’s 20th single.
The song was used in Nissan’s “New Nissan Serena” commercial.
It was created by combining two previously existing songs, and while it’s up-tempo, it’s quite long, running over six minutes.
It’s a bright track that can bring a smile to anyone’s face.
Ninjari Ban Bankyarī pamyu pamyu

It was released in 2013 as Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s fifth single.
The song was featured in KDDI/Okinawa Cellular’s “au: Turning Surprise into Common Sense.
‘FULL CONTROL/REAL’” commercial.
Since producer Yasutaka Nakata knew it would be a tie-in for a commercial filmed at a temple, he crafted the track to match that atmosphere.
It’s a very cool song with a Japanese (wa-ongaku) flavor, and its intricate choreography leaves a strong impression.
